INTRODUCTION

How are we all feeling today? I know everyone is excited for this day. I hope that you had a full rest yesterday
because today we are going to have a blast. I would like to introduce myself. I am Reynche, you can call me Rain
your guide for today and on behalf of the Thunderous Tour I welcome you all to Iloilo! For us to have a smooth
flowing tour, I would like you to pay attention to some reminders.

BRIEFING

First, please be seated until the bus comes to a full stop. Second, make sure you drink plenty of water and wear
sunscreen to avoid being sunburned. Fourth, while walking in the city, you should always be aware of your
surroundings when walking in the city. And always remember that: take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but
footprints and kill nothing but time. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.

PRESENTATION

Camiña Balay Nga Bato

Aside from being known as the home of

the sweetest and softhearted people,
Iloilo is also filled with history from the
old churches and ancestral houses.
One of the most famous ancestral
houses is the Camiña Balay Nga Bato.
This tourist spot Iloilo was built in 1860
and was strategically located beside the
river to have easy transportation of the
family’s business of hand-woven textile
products. While learning its history, you
can sip a hot chocolate that they’re also famous for, or dine at the restaurant, or just shop for pasalubongs.

Once a beat-up mansion that was thought to be gone for good and couldn’t be restored, the Molo Mansion is one
example of an imperishable architectural beauty that has stood the test of time. Originally built in the 1920’s, the
mansion now stands in all its glory facing the Molo district plaza and the Molo Church. The mansion is now open
as a heritage attraction in Iloilo, which houses a number of stores that only showcase local artistry and
craftsmanship. When you go inside, on the ground floor you can find the Kultura store, which displays various Acc. No.: M2700903PM

fashion items and souvenirs that are all inspired by Filipino culture and Ilonggo heritage. At the back is where you
can find the Molo Mansion Cafe (formerly Table Matters) where you can sit and relax while admiring the timeless

mansion that stands before you.

Molo Church

Molo Church is one of the most notable Iloilo City tourist spots that will
truly interest you. Because of an all-women ensemble of statues of the
saints in the church, Molo Church has been dubbed as “The Feminist
Church.” It also features gothic architecture highlighted by the two
pointed belfries on both sides of Molo Church. The interiors are
decorated with murals painted by Mariano Mabunay and Jesue
Huervas.

Jaro Cathedral

If Molo Church is the “Female Church,” Joro Cathedral is the “Male Church.” It
is called such because all the saints displayed here are male. But more than
that, Jaro Cathedral is one of the most popular Iloilo tourist attractions
because of its beauty and colorful history as it stood the test of time. As one of
the locals from Jaro I recommend you to try the “bibingka” sold near the
cathedral.

CLOSING REMARKS

And that’s a wrap up! It is quite a long ride but I hope you enjoy your time here. We are now about to arrive at our
hotel and Chris will assist you to help with all your baggage. I know all of us are tired but make sure to check all
of your baggage before you leave. On behalf of the Thunderous tour we are so grateful for the pleasure of
serving you and hope we met your expectations.

PRESENTATION

Intramuros

Intramuros, sometimes known as the "Walled City," is a historic and

culturally significant location. With its cobblestone streets and well-
preserved architecture from hundreds of years ago, you'll wonder if
you're still in the Philippines. That is why many visitors and locals
alike insist on taking an Intramuros tour whenever they visit the city.
The mark of 300 years of Spanish control may be seen between the
Intramuros walls in the form of majestic cathedrals and colonial
dwellings. While you can roam the streets on your own, a historic
Intramuros walking tour is the greatest way to learn more about the
country's past.

National Museum

The National Museum of the Philippines (Filipino: Pambansang

Museo ng Pilipinas) is a government institution in the Philippines
that acts as an educational, scientific, and cultural institution by
preserving the country's ethnographic, anthropological,
archaeological, and visual art holdings. Since 1998, the National
Museum has served as the Philippine government's regulatory
and enforcement agency for the restoration and preservation of
important cultural properties, sites, and reservations.

Luneta Park

Also known as Luneta National Park or simply Luneta, is a historical

urban park in the Philippines. Located along Roxas Boulevard,
Manila, adjacent to the old walled city of Intramuros, it is one of the
largest urban parks in Asia. It has been a favorite leisure spot, and is

frequented on Sundays and national holidays. Rizal Park is one of the major tourist attractions of Manila.Situated
by the Manila Bay, it is an important site in Philippine history. The execution of national hero José Rizal on
December 30, 1896 fanned the flames of the 1896 Philippine Revolution against the Kingdom of Spain. The area
was officially renamed Rizal Park in his honor, and the monument enshrining his remains serves as the park's
symbolic focal point. The Declaration of Philippine Independence from the United States was held here on July 4,

1946 as were later political rallies including those of Ferdinand Marcos and Corazon Aquino in 1986 that
culminated in the EDSA Revolution. PHI-18939-2-QM

Manila Ocean Park

The city's premier marine-themed park, Manila Ocean Park, offers

more than just dolphin performances and shark encounters. The
major attraction at Manila Ocean Park is a 25-meter glass
observation tunnel that provides excellent views of the underwater
life. It's a terrific chance to watch stingrays, sharks, eels, and other
types of fish gliding through the air. When you enter the
oceanarium, you'll notice aquariums housing a variety of freshwater
animals, including the well-known arapaima, a native of the
Amazon River.
