At the start of the class, teacher said “Take out your book and turn to page 9 from movers 8

book” before start listening that it makes sure the students’ homework has already finished
because teacher only gave them listening homework last week on page 9.

In that case, teacher starts to do lead in activities that is related to the topic of the lesson to
focus the context of the language and teacher gives instructions as well. (Lead – in and
Instruction).

After listening scripts, teacher told them to write descriptions about listening. It makes them to
improve productive skills like writing that is one of the skills of language. (Practice activities in
which learners have opportunities to use new language). Teacher used the internet to play the
listening recording

And then, teacher also asked them to speak the description sentences in orally one by one like
“Can u tell me one sentence” said teacher (Encouraging). At the same time, teacher wrote
down all those sentences on the computer screen when the student “Adam’’ noticed that
teacher wrote in wrong a sentence “The parrot tail is green’’ instead of “The parrot’s tail is
green”. (The student gave oral feedback to the teacher to identify where there was a problem
in that sentence which is the student can focus the language and content of the language).

As (Post – task activities), teacher let them to practice any description sentences about the
things around you by nominating in which learners can do free speaking activities on the
language in the class. Example: “Can you tell me a sentence about one thing around you,
Emily?” and she answered “there is water bottle on my table”. When she answered, teacher
repeated “There is a pink or purple water bottle on my table”. (Reformulating)

The class starts at 1:30pm, teacher said “Who is first to go to the page 24’’ to get learners’
attention.

And, the teacher showed the picture on page 24 and she prompted a sentence “The women with
the blue dress is carrying bags” to help the learners thinking ideas of the context. (Visualization
task) and (Prompting)
Moreover, the teacher did listening and speaking activities. After that, she gave three minutes
break time to relax for the students, while they were taking break, teacher said “Have u has a
haircut, Howard”, “Did you tie your hair, Emily”. we can know that teacher is trying to get a
good relationship from the students.

At 2:00 pm. The teacher showed an animated moral story in English, named “The old lion and
the fox’’ to be clever and good lessons for the listeners. To develop listening skill and speaking
for the students. (Controlled practice activity)

She played the video clip for two times and explained the new lexis from the story. Sometimes,
the teacher has to use mother language from time to time in the situation like the teacher
explained the words

“cautious >> clever, way out >> exit, enquired >> asked, offer sympathy and at a safe
distance’’ as those words are at advance level. (the suitable language level that
teacher should use in the classroom) and ( checking the understanding of more abstract
vocabulary )

After playing the video clip, teacher asked “how many animals did u see in the story”
(brainstorming) and also them to tell the story how they remember the target language by
nominating three students who are called “ Emily , Adam and Kaung Khant Ko Ko”.

At last, The teacher give them to do homework “story reading” and they need to write story as
they can after listening story.

Throughout the whole, Main aim is -to improve listening and speaking.

Subsidiary aim is that- the students have to use the descriptive


words and adjectives when they say the nouns like “size and
color”.

Teaching aids- the teacher can give extensive listening practice


and noticing gestures and body language for the students.

Procedures – to listen recordings for three times or two times and


write down sentences.
