4. Development of the lesson

No Sir.
What do you see in the different
pictures? Because a dog cannot live in the
water and fish cannot live in land.
Do you think they live in the same
place? Yes Wilma?
Why do say no?

Very good!!
Animals live in different places. Like a
dog live in land, a fish in the water and
a bird in the air.
A place where they live is called
HABITAT.
There are 3 types of habitat.

1. Land

2. Water
3. Air

Sir they will be sad, because there will

be no place for them to take a rest
and play with others.

These are the places where animals

can live happy and peaceful together
with other animals. We should not destroy the place
where they live.
What maybe the feeling of animals if
their habitats are destroyed? Why?
We burn plastics and other things
instead of recycling.
We throw our garbage anywhere.
Yes, that is correct.
What do you think that we should do
to protect their habitats?

What are the things that we do that

maybe the cause of destructions of
habitats?

Habitat
Yes, all say are correct.
We may do little things but it can Land, water and air.
greatly affect the environment as well
as the habitats of the animals. Different animals have different
So, in order for us to take care the habitat.
habitats of animals we need to take
care our environment.
5. Generalization
What do you call the place where the
animals lived?

What are the 3 types of Habitat?

6. Application
Individual work
Each child will draw a habitat and one
animal that is suited for that habitat.
For example: A fish in the aquarium

IV. Evaluation
Group Activity: Find my Habitat!
The class will be group into 3. They will be given a box with a picture of one
habitat. One member of each group will find an animal that is suited to the habitat
that they have.
V, Assignment

I. PRESENTATION ACCOMODATION; Use a tape recorder, the student

can replay the tape to clarify understanding of directions or concepts. Also, to
improve reading skills, the student can read the printed words silently as they
are presented on tape.

II. ASSESSMENT/ EVALUATION; Present a small amount of work. The

teacher can tear pages from workbooks and materials to present small
assignments to students who are anxious about the amount of work to be done.
This technique prevents students from examining an entire workbook, text, or
material and becoming discouraged by the amount of work.

III. RESPONSE ACCOMODATIONS; Clarify or simplify written

directions. Some directions are written in paragraph form and contain many
units of information. These can be overwhelming to some students. The
teacher can help by underlining or highlighting the significant parts of the
directions. Rewriting the directions is often helpful.

IV. SETTING ACCOMODATION; Use sensory tools, Sensory play involves

lots of action, from lifting and throwing, to splashing and shaping. While
these actions may seem small, they all support the development of different
muscle groups and help kids to build their fine motor skills – this strength and
coordination comes in handy in day-to-day life such as using a spoon to eat.

V. TIMING ACCOMODATION; Breaking a long assignment into smaller

pieces or chunks, and allowing the student to receive instruction or take a test
during a particular time of day.

VI. SCHEDULING ACCOMODATION; Take more time to complete a

project,
Changes in the amount of time or the way the time is organized for activities
is helpful to learners because some students do better when not under the
pressure of a strict schedule. Others need more time because they read and
process information slowly.

VII. ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS ACCOMODATION; I will set a time

management, scheduling, prioritizing through to-do list because school year
are not focused on a one topic we should move on to the next topic.

VIII. ASSIGNMENT/ HOME WORK;

Draw an animal that can live both in water and land

IX. ASSIGNMENT MODIFICATION; Use assignment substitutions or

adjustment. Instead of drawing learners with autism can print out a picture of
an animal that can live both in water and land
X. CURRICULUM MODIFICATION: Be excuse in particular project such as
Essay writing difficult math problem and assigned homework that’s different
to other students. We could assigned homework that’s different from the rest
of the class because they are not expected to learn the same material as their
classmates.
