Pre-implementation As an institution of learning, a school needs to challenge itself to prosper the love for
of the activity reading not only to students but also to the teachers. It is one of the macro skills that
helps them expose themselves to new things, new information, new ways to solve
problems and achieve certain things. Through reading, they build a new foundation of
communication and it is one of the most important tools they use every day to connect
with each other.

In line with this and in pursuant to the Division Memorandum No. 394, s. 2021, with
the theme, “Bawat Bata Bumabasa sa Kabila ng Hamon ng Pandemya,” the Language
Department had its virtual meeting it on November 7, 2021 at 1 PM via Google
Hangouts to talk about it. The activities approved are as follows:

Virtual Meeting of Language Department
Synchronized Story Reading
Family Reading

The approved proposal was sent to Lucian group chat for the teachers to be guided on
the abovementioned activities. Likewise, the language teachers were asked by the

chairman to disseminate the information to their respective group chats.
Implementation During the implementation proper, students, parents and teachers participated in the
Proper National Reading Month Celebration. They followed the list of activities below and
took some pictures while doing the activities for documentation and immediately sent
them to their group chats.

The activities started on November 8, 2021 and ended on November 22, 2021 through
the organization of the chairman, Ma’am Crisanta I. Canete, English Coordinator and
Bernadeth G. Baluyut, Filipino Coordinator.

Post- Through the support of the entire school community and stakeholders, the school was
Implementation able to implement the abovementioned activity successfully. The students participated
actively and were able to demonstrate that reading can take many forms but it doesn’t
need to be tedious nor intimidating. It can be enjoyed and shared by with friends and
loved ones.

As George R.R. Martin, said, “a reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who
never reads lives only once.”

A video presentation of the highlight of the celebration was prepared by the Language
teachers and was posted in the school Facebook account.
