Performance

Authentic Assessment Describe how a product/performance was assessed

1. Product Example/s of products assessed. How was it/were
assessed?
- The resource teacher teaches her students on how
to analyze and categorize the parts of speech.

2. Performance Example/s of products assessed. How was it/were

(Psychomotor) assessed?
- The resource teacher assesses her students on how
to be creative and effective in writing skills in which
she directed students to compose a sentence. The
teacher allow groupings for oral report.

My Analysis

1. In what subjects was traditional assessment method used most?

2. Which among the traditional assessment tools/tests was/were used most often?
- The most often used traditional assessment tool were alternate response and the
multiple choice.

3. In what subjects was authentic assessment method used most?

- Authentic assessment method was used most in Science and English subject.

4. Which products or performance were assessed? Give examples.
- In English subjects, the products or performance being assessed is in their critical
thinking skills and abilities. In which the teachers integrate activities which activates
group collaboration.

5. What assessment tools and tasks were used to assess learning in the cognitive domain,
knowledge and understanding and declarative knowledge?
- In cognitive domain, the most used assessment tools and tasks are multiple choice
and the matching type.

6. What assessment tools and tasks were used to assess the learning of psychomotor
skills/procedural knowledge?
- The resource teacher used the different multiple intelligence of her learners through
conducting an activity which facilitate higher-order thinking skills such group
discussions and

7. Was there assessment of learning in the affective domain? Explain your answer.
- Yes, there was an assessment of learning in the affective domain in which the
teachers integrated a real-world situation and experiences.

8. To which multiple intelligences did the assessment tools and tasks respond? Come up
with a table of the intelligences which given attention and the corresponding assessment
task used.

MI Assessment

Linguistic -verbal Intelligence - Read and write for enjoyment

Visual-Spatial Intelligence - The way they compare, analyze,

and internalize the lesson.

Interpersonal Intelligence - Created positive relationships with

others through group activity

Intrapersonal Intelligence - Self-reflection on the lesson

My Reflection

What happens when your assessment method and tool match with your domain of
learning?

- If the assessment method and tools match with the domain of learning, then it is valid
and reliable, it will measure the student performances accurately. It leaves no
frustration failure on the students’ perspective as assessment is implemented
coherently to their knowledge and capacity.

Have we been fair to learner’s whom we learned are equipped with multiple intelligences
when in the past we only used paper – and – pencil test which was most fit only for the
linguistically intelligent learners?
- No. Because every learner has a different abilities and multiple skills. The past trend
in assessing learner is unfair to the learners who did not acquire the linguistically
intelligent skills. There is a judgment with regards to students’ individual uniqueness
particularly on their intelligence since they are limited with only such type of
assessment. Assessment should be fair in achieving and executing the different
types of the levels of learning domains.
