1.1 Overview
The ACUSON X300TM and ACUSON X300TM PE ultrasound system comes with an optional
17 inch, SXGA color monitor with 1280 x 1024 pixels. The following figure shows the
monitor.

Operating at 47Hz to 63Hz frequency range, this non-interlaced monitor has four speak‐
ers - two mid/tweeters and two woofers for use with spectral Doppler.
The monitor controls include:
n Degauss
n Brightness
n Contrast
n Test buttons (user serviceable adjustments are located inside the monitor). Refer to
the FPD section in the Users Manual.
CAUTION
The weight of the monitor (6.5 kg: 14.3 lb.) represent a lifting hazard.
The use of improper lifting methods or lifting in an awkward manner can cause
serious bodily injury.

The FPD of ACUSON X300 PE systems has eight video modes which have different con‐
trast and brightness values. Those are controlled by ultrasound system input signal (refer
to table below).
3. Press the Menu button once to activate the PICTURE sub menu.

6. Select Color Temperature with the Menu button. The default value is 9300K.
- Select 9300K for WW setting
- Select 11000K for SONOVISTA setting
8. Select EXIT with the UP button, press MENU to exit from the menu.

9. Press the Menu button after each EXIT. The OSD screen will disappear.

The OSD Menu will automatically clear if no button is pressed within 10 seconds.
Adjust Menu is used only for the Analog RGB input signal.
2. Press the up or down buttons approximately five seconds. The following message dis‐
plays indicating that the OSD menu key is unlocked.
