Instruction:  Rizal enumerated causes of indolence of Filipinos. Among the causes, to
what cause do you agree the most and agree the least? Explain your answer in 4-6
sentences.

  Cause Explanation

-       It is because in time of Rizal, there were no schools when the


Filipinos chose to study and learn, and if there were any, they lacked
adequate facilities and did not offer more valuable skills. They were

the middle of the world which is the equator and we all know that
this place experience hot climate. So this is not acceptable reason
because if you really want to learn and experience something, you

love for work which means they are not that dedicated to work hard.
They are losing so many opportunities when they will continue that
kind of behaviour. There are so many ways on how to deal with hot
climate; they should put a little effort on that.

What is the significance of El Filibusterismo in terms of:
 

-       The significance of El Felibusterismo in terms of History is it shows how and what


happened in the time of Jose Rizal. El Filibusterismo has a meaningful effect on past
History and current life. The Filipinos were awakened by the atrocities of the Spanish
colonization. They learned that they should fight for their rights and that they should not
stay quiet.

-       The significance of El Felibusterismo in terms of Education is it serves as an eye


Education opener for all of the students in today’s generation. This novel is being taught to
universities to show to students what happened years ago and how Filipinos were
deprived of the right to study. This is to tell students that education is really important
because so that they will not be ignorant of things and they will not be deceived by
anyone. This novel taught us that we should be educated, knowledgeable and we need to
fight for our rights.

-       The significance of El Filibusterismo in terms of Politics is it was a good political


book. It was indeed a' book of reflections.' It also emphasized the brutalities of the
Spaniards against the Filipinos, like Noli Me Tangere, on how they handled the
Politics
scholars, how they ruled over, and how their structure abused the people of the
Philippines. There was an irresistible desire among the Filipinos to go against the
government and the traditions of the Church that seemed practical.

-       The significance of El Filibusterismo in terms of Society is for the Filipino nation, El


Filibusterismo serves as inspiration. In terms of views on national origin, the Catholic
faith and its effects on the preference of Filipinos, and the problems of exploitation,
violence and discrimination of the government, it has a significant impact on Philippine
Society society, and on a larger scale, the issues pertaining to the effect of colonialism on the
lives of citizens and the cause of freedom. In the past, the book awoke the Filipinos and
is always awakening today's Filipinos, struggling for what we think is right. In any war,
we may not always be the winner, but the most important thing is that we continue to
fight until our very last breath, just like Rizal.
