B. Profile of the Program or Course

Title of the program of Course:

5-Day School Based INSET on school progress attained in the implementation of the
Educational Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPA’s), Review of IPCR, Activities
for Teachers continued Professional Development and the Preparation for
Instructional Materials (IMs)

Rationale
In support to the DEPED Order No. 29, s. 2021 (School Calendar and Activities for
School Year 2021-2022), the Department of Education (DepEd) reiterates the conduct of
the In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers form January 31 to February 5, 2022.

Thus conducting a School-Based INSET has a positive impact to the school and of course
to the teachers in order to monitor and evaluate the school development and progress
attained in the implementation of Educational PPA’s. In this point of view the school BE-
LCP as part of the continuing initiatives in order to strengthen and enhance teachers
performance, progress, and development. Review of the IPCRF of teachers is integral in
order to address all their concerns and queries through collaborative effort and feed
backing. It highlights also all necessary activities for the teachers continued professional
growth and development as well as the Instructional Materials used in this time of
pandemic such as LAS, SLM’s worksheets and etc.

Through conducting this 5-Day School Based INSET, technical assistance will be
provided to the teachers especially to the neophytes on the service. This, the teachers are
expected to; arrive 15 minutes before the official time, participate religiously and actively
answer the questions given and submit the expected output needed in this INSET.
Modality {Formal Learning, possibly with Job-Embedded Learning (JEL)}

Formal Learning In-Service Training in which the goals and objectives are defined by the
training Program Management Team(PMT).

Objective/s or Outcome/s
Terminal Objective
At the end of this 5-Day School-Based INSET, the participants are expected to
equip and have deepened understanding on the contents of IPCRF and produced
outputs on IM’s.

Enabling Objectives
More specially, this activity aims to:
1. Review and familiarize oneself on the contents and features of the IPCRF;
2. Present the school Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPA’s) for evaluation and
feedbacking.
3. Establish an activity necessary for teachers’ continues professional growth and
development.
4. Capacitate participants on the effective production and utilization of IM’s.

Programs or Course Description

This School-Based INSET shall be conducted as to make used this mid-year break
as a substantial to the teachers progress, professional growth and development as well as
to improve teaching skills and strategies and how to transfer learning/knowledge to the
learners in order to improve their performance while learning at home in this time of
pandemic.

Professional development priorities:

This In-Service Training (INSET) shall deepen understanding of the participants


on the review of their IPCRF, to enhance learning and gain mastery of essential
knowledge and skills in the preparation, production, and utilization of IM’s.
