YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONVERGENCE-Batch 4

The young leaders of San Mariano, Isabela held a leadership training at Barangay Minanga,
SMI last March 8-10 with the theme “Live More, Lead More, Serve More” headed by Ma’am
Susan P. Duca, Sangguniang Bayan Member. A whole 3 days training from 8am to 9pm
wherein more than two hundred(200) SPG and SSG Officers from the different schools in the
District I and II of San Mariano participated in the said event.
Day 01 (March 8, 2019)

The first day of the program was the registration of the participants. It was strictly monitored
by the facilitators, followed by the presentation of delegates, levelling off crafting house rules
and an inspirational talk about “The role of the youth in patriotism and nationalism” was
shared by the Philippine Army. The delegates were all awaken of the very inspiring message.
The crowd was overwhelmed by the intermission number given by a talented pupils and
students of both district. Right after was a holy mass by Rev. Bong Lozano and some night
activities.
Day 02 (March 9, 2019)

The student leaders arrived at the venue at 4:30 in the morning, immediately gather the
officers to start the first activity and it was organized by the Philippine Army through
Jogging and Wide games among participants. In a meanwhile, invited speakers in the
morning session talked about “Leadership Style”, “The role of the youth in the 21 st
Leadership”, and “Status of drug clearing operation of municipality of San Mariano”.
Speakers showed their expertise in the given topics assigned to them, as well the oath taking
ceremony for the newly elected District Federation Officers headed by Ma’am Susan Duca.
In the afternoon, knowledgeable speakers discussed important topics particularly on “Fire
Prevention and Suppression”, Values Formation”, and Developing youth leaders”.
Participants enjoyed the workshop required by each speaker after the delivery of the topic
which help them to apply what they have learned from it. For the most awaited and highlight
part of the even which was the search for Mr and Ms. YLC 2019-Batch
Day 03 (March 10, 2019)

In the last day of the training, they did the same routine early in the morning through exercise
and wide games. A little presentation of the speaker on how to make action plan, right after
each group assigned to make and present in front. When the lunch time comes the Philippine
Army, Teachers and Student Leaders were gathered in a long table and had a “Boodle fight”
where all ate in one table only and the foods were placed in the table. And the program last
for whole day and we all go to our respective homes

SPG ELECTION NARRATIVE REPORT

Supreme Pupil Government is a school organization whose purpose is to train the pupils to
become a better citizens in the future and to develop skills and abilities in achieving quality
education and academic excellence through cooperative works among themselves in
achieving their goals.
The SPG Election started with filling of certificates of candidacy last February 11, 2019 and
on February 12-13, 2019 was the campaign period. There were two parties aiming for the
position, the “ Victory Team” and the “ Genius Team”.Thus, Balagan Elementary School
conducted an election for the Supreme Pupils Government for the school year 2019-2020
with the help of the Teachers and pupils. Both parties worked hard to earn favour from their
co-pupils. Campaign materials posted on designated areas.
296 pupils voted from Kindergarten to Grade VI .

At the end of the election, votes were counted by the election committee which comprise the
chairman, SPG Adviser and three members. The proclamation of winners followed.
 So far SPG Election were successfully conducted where pupils are given the chance to
participate and exercise their right of suffrage during the election.

SPG ADVISER ATTENDED A MEETING

Meeting is one way to communicate others personally.
Relative to this, the SPG Advisers of San Mariano attended a meeting last February 25, 2019
exactly 1:00 in the afternoon at Minanga Hall, San Mariano, Isabela. I n cooperation with
Philippine Army(PA), Philippine National Police(PNP), Bureau of Fire and
Protection(BFP),SK Officials and others discussed the goals and objectives for the incoming
Leadership Training which was participated by student leaders from different schools. Ma’am
Susan as the speaker highlights the importance of the training to the young minds of youth in
today’s generation.
The proponents presented the proposal, action plan and training matrix.
 SUPREME PUPILS GOVERNMENT

Balagan Elementary School conducted an election for the Supreme Pupils

Government for the school year 2019-2020 with the help of the Teachers and pupils. The

newly set of officers are as follows: President- Antonia S. Catangui, Vice President- Charles

James Buco, Secretary- Honey Lou Shane Casauay, Treasurer- Justine Lasam, Auditor-

Shacayna Shane Juan- Bus. Mngr-Nerilyn Hacla P.I.O-Cris John Lugo.

Representatives: Kinder- Grade 1- Grade 2-Ezra Camille Alicuman, Grade 3-Janea Kei

Right after the counting, the Teachers declared the winners. SPG officers and adviser floated

a snap meeting at the same day. It was agreed that the project of the organization was a

compose pit for every grade level. It will materialize through the cooperation of the school

administrator, teachers and parents, in a way of communication letter directly address to

the barangay officials. In that, concerned officials will communicate to every adviser for the

schedule, area for compose pit and other concerns related to the project mentioned above.

Furthermore, work plan had been presented during the meeting. The time frame of the

project is within January 2019.
