SEMINAR WORKSHOP ON GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT 2022

(Narrative Report)
DAY 1
The GAD Organizing Committee are honored to invite our Resource Speaker, Sir Angelito S.
Manalastas to speak at the Gender sensitivity training and workshop of Lanang High School. The objective of
this event is to sensitize the LHS teachers on basic GAD concepts, genders issues and increase their knowledge
on Magna Carta of women.
It will be a chance for women to exercise their rights, take risks to have their voices heard, and benefit
from and lead change. It is a step forward for Filipino women's capacity to change the narrative, raise important
issues, and demand meaningful action. The following are the highlights of the said event a. To celebrate
women's and girls' achievements, evaluate gender equality efforts, and plan for future initiatives to ensure
women's empowerment and to imagine a world without any sort of violence towards women.

DAY 2

We began the session with an introduction to gender and development, discussing its implementation
and the value of seminars like this one in building capacity, particularly among educators. In order for gender
issues to no longer be seen as minor concerns, institutional structures, culture, and practices must be changed as
part of the gender mainstreaming process. Day 2 was filled with many information about gender mainstreaming
difficulties and worries, as well as more discussion about the Magna Carta for Women, all facilitated by the
school GAD coordinator.

After discussion the faculty participated in some activities that enhance the bonding of the group and
share some experiences
