We began the session with an introduction to gender and development, discussing its implementation
and the value of seminars like this one in building capacity, particularly among educators. In order for gender
issues to no longer be seen as minor concerns, institutional structures, culture, and practices must be changed as
part of the gender mainstreaming process. Day 2 was filled with many information about gender mainstreaming
difficulties and worries, as well as more discussion about the Magna Carta for Women, all facilitated by the
school GAD coordinator.
After discussion the faculty participated in some activities that enhance the bonding of the group and
share some experiences
