NARRATIVE REPORT ON IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) DAY 1

Sta. Ursula Elementary School conducted the first day of In-service training program among its
teachers on February 06, 2023. The training entitled “Seminar on Breaking Learning Loss’ Barriers:
Adopting Innovative Strategies towards Socially Adaptive Curriculum from Struggling Learners” started
with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Edna R. Gatus, followed by singing of National Anthem led by Ms.
Ariana Aleksandra G. Suzara. In order to share words of wisdom, food for was shared by Mrs. Jasmin S.
Sibug. In order to check the attendance, roll call was led by Mrs. Monette D. Garcia. The school head,
Luciano S. Santiago welcomed the participants on the INSET.

The session proper was discussed by the speaker of the day, Mrs. Ethel T. Requerman. Mrs.
Requerman discusses the first topic which is “Seminar on Breaking Learning Loss’ Barriers: Adopting
Innovative Strategies towards Socially Adaptive Curriculum from Struggling Learners”. The discussion
proceeded on the topic Emerging Literacy Games and Activities. Breaking the Reading Code: Reading
and Language Arts was the last topic discussed by the speaker.

After the session, the participants were given chance to make their instructional materials which
are useful as teaching aid in remedial classes that are intended for the struggling learners. The
participants were able to share their knowledge, thoughts and ideas about different strategies and
techniques that can be used in order to cater the needs of the learners.
