Topics and requirements for the 1st Oral Evaluation

ORAL EVALUATION

Topic: Conversation Duration: 3 - 4 minutes.

Date: TBA

Procedure:

In pairs, randomly selected cadets will perform a conversation.

Cadets must choose from a list the compound nouns they need. They will also use the zero conditional to tell the truth and give commands. Consider including greetings
and small talk to complement the conversation to comply with the time limit.

Grammar requirements:
- Using compound nouns. (p. 41)
- The conditional: General truths and commands. (p. 92)

Example:
Grace: Hi, Hailey. How are you?
Hailey: Oh, hello grace. I’m fine, thanks.
Grace: Wow! New haircut, huh?
Hailey: Yes. It was time for a change.
Grace: Who cut your hair?
Hailey: It was Linda Roberts. My classmates and I always go with her. She’s a great stylist.
Grace: Really? Then I think I’m going to visit her before my birthday. What’s her address?
Hailey: 36 Brightwood street. It’s near the Airport.
Grace: It’s farther than I thought.
Hailey: Yes, but I’m sure you won’t regret it. If you want to look beautiful, let Linda do her job.
Grace: Thanks, Hailey.
