1. The wall thickness shall not be less than specified minimum wall thickness of the initial straight pipe.
2. The bends shall be produced from line pipe having the same specifications and tolerances as per the line pipe to be used for the construcuction of pipeline.
3. Bends shall be provided with straight tangent (L) on each end with a length of 1.5 D or 500 mm which is high unless otherwise specified in the material requisition.
4. Shall not exceed[(Ɵ/90)X10mm], where Ɵ is bend angle.
5. ± 1% of the nominal outside diameter.
6. Manufacturer shall check that the hoop stress in the induction bend during hydrostatic test shall not exceed 90% of SMYS of the bend material.
7. Alloawnce on mother pipe for thickness to be provided to take care of thining during induction bend.
8. One test bend for each size to be made for testing (Destructive and Non Destructive Test).
9. Manufacturer shall submit MPS for Owner's review and Manufacture shall start on the basis of approved MPS.
