DESIGN SITUATION

Justification: (Explain and justify the need to find a solution to the problem)

The Problem: 

Rewrite the task in your own words. You must mention Inquiry Statement, Key Concept,
Related Concepts and Global Context (Get these from your Teacher’s Assessment Notice).

The problem I have to find a solution for is poverty. Poverty is one of the biggest problems
today and this needs to stop because people need to have a home and money to survive,
and poverty MUST stop.

I need to focus on the Key Concept …So i could have an understanding on how to do the
task and Related Concepts ………To help with what i need to do to understand how to
solve this problem. I must investigate these Key Concepts and Related Concepts through
the Global Context ….  To get an idea of how the app should be set and so we meet the
guidelines for our task.

I am creating an app to tell and show people that we must help the poor and stop poverty.

Explain and justify poverty. Poverty means when someone is extremely poor without a
house, food, money etc.

What is the nature of the problem? The nature of the problem is generally caused by an
instant crisis or loss for e.g. divorce, environment disasters, eviction or severe health
problems. 

Who are your clients? … Our clients are people who have the experience and the feeling
of what poverty is. Possibly people who know and have the experience of Poverty.

How and why do you need to solve this problem? (Cause, effect, …) Poverty is one of the
biggest and major issues world wide and this is why we chose Poverty so we can help and
make a difference in people's lives.

In order to complete this project, what will you need to do?

 Make a list of the things you believe will make your project a success such as:

 Teamwork skills: …Communicating and discussing ideas to make this game and
how to structure it.
 Resources, having the necessary tools: …Well, it’s our first time creating a game
using coding and it will be a new experience so we will need google as reference
and obviously Python to code the whole game.
 Budgeting: …Budgeting isn’t much because we aren’t paying for much of it so
probably nothing for payment but we will need to budget the amount of things on
our game or app so it isn’t too complicated.
 Punctuality to your assessments: …We have to come to class and focus on our
work to meet our goal and complete the work and do as best as we can. Making a
game isn't gonna be as easy so we need to make sure we submit it on time with our
best piece of work.
 Knowledge about the subject: …We need knowledge on how we have to code the
game and how to use the python app to make sure we make a good app or game for
our topic.
 Research skills: …We need to research on the topic that we are doing and how we
could possibly get an app that could make a difference and help.
 Overall ability and skills: …We have skills on doing simple coding but not on
creating a game… We will need thinking skills, communication, risk taker and so
many more as we are trying something new and creating an app
 Organization skills: … We need to organize ourselves in the amount of time we
take and make sure that our work is done so it is submitted on time. We also need to
make sure to attend classes and focus to deliver the work.

 Describe your product: …Our Product is about poverty,  We chose poverty due to
 poverty being an issue in the world that is not seeming to vanish or go away easily,
we are creating this app to help and make a difference.
 Describe your target market: … Well our aim and target is to make an app talking
about poverty. One of our ideas are to take the opinion of people who have
experienced it and how they feel and how they could help to spread the word
 Do you require any specific imaginary or text? … Well we want something that
will make people feel for other people.  We also want other people's opinions on the
experiance.
 Any special details that you want to use: …We want to use things that can help and
make a difference. We want to use the way people think and the reason to why
poverty could be getting so bad and why it isn't improving
 What do you need to develop? …Well not really develop but if we do need to
develop something it is putting things into people's minds and making them care
about poverty.
 What do you need to research? … We need to research on our topic and how we
could help stop poverty… We also need information on how we can create the app
and what we can put in it.
