Standards:
5.2.6 Explain that living things, such as plants and animals, differ in their characteristics and
that sometimes these differences can give members of these groups (plants and animals) an
advantage in surviving and reproducing.
Assessment of Prior Knowledge:
Students will fill out a KWL Chart on the whiteboard that will show what they know, what they
want to know, and what they learned about the marine mammals.
