V. PROCEDURES
Teacher’s Activity Learner’s Activity
A. Preparatory Activities

Prayer

“Before we start, may I request everybody to (Learners pray for the opening prayer)
please stand for a prayer?”
(The teacher will present a video for the opening (Video clip presentation)
prayer)

Greetings

“Good morning, class!” “Good morning, teacher!”

Checking of Attendance

“Say present once your name is called.” (Learner’s raise their hand and say present as
the teacher call their name)
“Very good, class! All are present today, you are all
motivated to go to school every day!”

“Kindly pick up the pieces of papers under your chair.” (Learners pick up the pieces of papers)

“How was your day, class?” “It was great, Teacher!”

“Did you already eat your lunch?” “Yes, Teacher! We already ate our lunch.”

“Okay, that’s good to hear. I hope that all of you are

ready to listen in our discussion, because I will give
prices for those learners who will actively participate in
the class. For those students who can answer my
question earns one star and the learner who will earn the
most number of stars will crown as "Star of the day."

Reminding Class Rules

“But before we begin, I want you to follow our classroom

rules.”
“The teacher will show a video clip presentation” (Video clip Presentation)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIl7zyiHojk
"Are all classroom rules heard loud and clear?”
“Yes, Teacher! Loud and clear.”

B. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new

lesson

Drill

In what time do you go to bed and wake up to the bed? I woke up in bed between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
and wake up around 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Very good class. At age 3, you should sleep at least 14

hours a day.

How do you prepare yourself before going to school in Brush hair and teeth.
the morning?
Wash face.
Eat breakfast.
Take a bath.
Get dressed.
Put on shoes.
Prepare mask and alcohol .
Double-check backpack.
Observe 2 meters social distancing.
Why is it important to take good care of your body? 1.

A healthy, active lifestyle can help maintain weight. It

also can prevent health issues, such as diabetes, heart
disease, asthma, and high blood pressure. As a kids, it is
important to create healthy habits early on. These will
help you make smart choices for your family.

The teacher will show a video clip about “Minutes to (The learners are actively participated )
Hours”. (Video clip presentation)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfwMUa6iAd

Class, what the video is all about? It is all about seconds, time, hours, days and how
we convert into unit.

Very good class. Today, we learn how to convert time

measurement that involves seconds, minutes, hours and
days, and how is important to know to convert time
measurement into unit.

C. Establishing a purpose for the lesson

The teacher will show a clock model.

Examples:
12: 45

1:15

Ask pupils to tell the time shown and let analyze it.

How many hands does a clock have?

There are three hands, teacher.

What are those?

The minutes hand, the hour hand and hand

second.

What does each hand tell us? The short hand tell us hour.
The long hand tell us minutes
The other long hand tell us seconds
Very good class! There are 3 hands / parts of the clock.
The short hand will tell us an hour. The long hand tell us
minutes, and while the other long hand will tell us for a
seconds. In every 60 seconds is equivalent of 1 minute,
in 60 minutes is equivalent to 1 hour and 24 hours we
can make 1 day.

.
D. Presenting examples of the new lesson

(Individual activities)

The teacher will provide a copy fore each pupil.

Each number is consist of black clock faces with a given
time. The pupils will identify and set the correct time
using long hand and shorthand. Answers:

1. 2.

3. 4.

1) 7: 30
2) 8: 00
3) 12:00
4) 9:35
5) 4: 45
5.

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1

Game: Give me a number?

The teacher will give the mechanics of the game.
a) The teacher will ask the pupil to select a number.
b) Then, the selected number will based on the chair’s
number and ask by the teacher.
Convert the following:

1. How many seconds in 9 minutes?

In 9 minutes, we have 540 seconds.
2. What operations that we used?
Multiplication: multiply the time value by 60
seconds
3. How many minutes in 240 seconds?

In 24 seconds, we have 4 minutes.

4. What operations that we used?
Division: Divide the time value by 60.
F. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #2

The teacher will ask the learners will ask randomly

based on their numbers per chairs.

A. Convert the following. Answers:

1. 9 hours = _____ in a minutes. 9 hours = 540 minutes

2. 3 days = ______ in a hours. .(multiply the time value by 60)
3. 7 days = _____ in hours.
4. 9 minutes = ______ in a seconds. 3 days = 72 hours.
5. 48 hours = _______in a days. (multiply the time value by 24)

7 days = 168 hours.

(multiply the time value by 24)

9 minutes = 540 seconds.

(multiply the time value by 60)

48 hours = 2 days.
(divide the time value by 24)
a) When converting seconds to minutes, divide the
number of seconds by 60.
b) To convert minutes to seconds, multiply minute by
60.
c) To convert minutes to hours, divide the number of
minutes by 60.
d) To convert hours to minutes, multiply the number of
hours by 60.
e) To get the numbers of days in minutes to seconds,
multiply the minute by 24.
f) To get the numbers of hours, multiply the number of
hours by 24.

G. Developing mastery (Leads to formative assessment)

many weeks are they on vacation? (Divide the value by 7)

I. Making generalizations and abstractions about the

lesson
Answer the missing equivalent and write your missing Answers:
number in the card board.
In 1 minute, we have 60 seconds.
In 1 minute, we have _______ seconds.
