Date: 3/4/22 Grade Level: Kindergarten Circle one: ECE PKSN
Standard(s)/Guideline(s):

1RE Describe their artworks and efforts and share their artmaking processes
Pre-assessment of current knowledge:
To pre-assess students’ current knowledge, the teacher will begin by reading the book Triangle by Mac Barnett. Throughout the book, the teacher will ask
questions to get an understanding of how much the students know about shapes. The teacher will then ask students to look around the room to see if they see
any shapes around in everyday objects. They could point out objects like the door, desk, board, etc. Then the teacher will explain that buildings (castles) are
made out of shapes too, so they will be using shapes to create their own castle.
