HOW IS THE COURSE RELATED TO MY PREVIOUS STUDIES OR CURRENT

STUDIES, WORK OR LIFE?
The subject of Computer science has always fascinated me
since my childhood. Therefore, I opted for science stream
in my higher secondary school. That continued during the
period of my undergraduate program, where I was
constantly captivated by the various advancements, made
to almost every aspect of various fields through computer
applications. The most growing field of computer
applications and information technology is Data
Intelligence. Due to its inevitable utilization for the
betterment of human life and society, the Data Intelligence
will play a pivotal role in the future years. This has led me
to develop a strong interest in this subject and thus, I
intend to be at the forefront of advancements in this field. I
view my post-graduate study as the next logical step
towards my goal.

HOW WILL THE COURSE HELP ME IN THE FUTURE?

I will be finding my working career in a wide range of
sectors in my home country, India, including consulting
firms, government and authority, financial services,
international organizations, technology and research
industries. I would like to work as a Data Science
Consultant, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, AI Product
Manager, and Data Architect. I would like to kick start my
career opportunity by working in the top multinational
company such as L&T, Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Infosys,
IBM, Amazon and Flipkart. The salary package for a
newly graduate varies from INR 6.5 lacs to INR 9.0 lacs in
these multinational companies. Thus, on completion of this
program, I will be working in a right environment where I
can use my logical abilities and skills, ultimately, to
achieve the goals of my life.
WHAT I THINK I WILL LEARN IN THE COURSE, INCLUDING ANY
PARTICULAR SUBJECTS OF INTEREST?
The course aims to equip the students with crucial data
science methods that go along with various applications,
developing into case studies, learning the applications of
AI and data in both theoretical and practical applications.
The course introduces Principles of Data Intelligence
Programming and as well as Data in Action, Big Data
Database Development and Geographical Information
System and the meaningful techniques are developed in
spatial analysis, used to analyze and also for relevant data
display from life sciences, marketing and social science.
The course encourages statistical thinking by data
visualizations and guides one to develop one’s creativity
within a scientific framework. What I like most about this
course is that within one year I will acquire a graduate
certificate from a reputed university rather than beating
around the bush by wasting my time in short online
courses which may or may not prove to be useful.

HOW PREPARED AM I TO DEDICATE TIME TO SUCCEED IN THIS COURSE,

INCLUDING WHAT PERSONAL ARRANGEMENTS OR SACRIFICES I MIGHT
MAKE TO ENSURE I REGULARLY ATTEND AND PASS THE COURSE
I am passionate about learning and enthusiastic about
practically implementing what I have learned. I also have a
strong background in computer applications, due to the
comprehensive nature of my undergraduate work. I will
contribute my commitment and dedication to fully
immerse myself into the educational experience and will
help others to gain maximum knowledge from the class. I
will be proactive and not only engage in discussions, but
also initiate them. I bring along a strong grasp of
fundamentals and an aptitude for teamwork and teaching
and a zest for learning. When I will leave my home
country, I would like to invest my time to study and have
greater chance to be employed in a reputed MNC, for
obtaining maximum ROI on my parents’ investments
towards my education, Having the guidance of eminent
researchers to guide me, I am certain that I will be able to
achieve my goals and bring a great contribution to the
institution and community I belong to.

WHAT MOTIVATES ME TO FOLLOW THIS COURSE?
With the industries moving towards the fourth industrial
revolution, automation, artificial intelligence and the
internet of things have begun to shape our human lives.
Many years ago, the question was: “How can I find the
data?”, now the challenge is: “I have a lot of data, how can
I get insights out of it?”, and that’s how the data driven
mindset had seen the light. Thus, there is a great demand
for data scientists with actual business/professional
knowledge that can relate to businesspeople, build useful
models, and solve problems rather than the basic machine
learning engineers and coders that have currently made
their way into the field. Since the course is not bound to
any specific geographical location like other professional
careers, I can move back to India with my graduate degree
certificate and apply at reputed IT firms.

WHAT QUALITIES, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE DO I HAVE TO BE

ABLE TO DO WELL IN THE COURSE?
To pursue this course, I am armed with technical skills
which I can easily brush up and with the transferable skills
acquired through my bachelor’s in Computer Applications.
I believe that I am passionate and intellectually
able to have a great journey on this delightful and
challenging path. I want to make significant contributions
to the research projects, that
are contemporary in this field by working on innovative
projects and discovering the undiscovered concepts in Data
Intelligence. For me, the ability to apply data analytics in a
creative way and become an asset in any business, to help
others improve their decisions, is the driving factor into
choosing M.Sc. in Data Intelligence. I find myself certain
that pursuing this program is the ideal step for my
academic as well as professional career.
