Reflection in EL 101

Both the teacher and the students are involved in the classroom management process.
It's what the teacher does to have the lesson, the learning environment, and the students
ready to learn. For the student, it is the struggle of meeting the teacher's expectations.
In order to create an effective learning environment, every teacher must master classroom
management. I believe that students should be supervised and disciplined, and that students
of this age should be guided in the right direction. They are capable of self-discipline, but they
must be taught the norms of the classroom and the teacher's expectations. I believe that
students are generally excellent people, but that their surroundings have a significant impact
on them. They will not have time to be disruptive if they are kept engaged with education, and
they must be guided to act responsibly. Students should feel protected, nurtured, and
supported in a setting where they can learn.
The ultimate goal of classroom management is to teach students self-discipline and to
understand the rules and consequences of the classroom by acting accordingly, rather than to
manage control of the class. This allows them to learn in an effective and supportive
environment.
I still believe that developing relationships is one of the most important aspects of
classroom management because I believe it is important to be aware of and attentive to the
students. Reading some papers and works on classroom management taught me that in
order to feel confident about the teaching process, teachers must take their work seriously
and devote themselves to it. After listening to the lessons, I now realize that evaluating
students can take numerous forms, like offering more positive feedback than negative
feedback, employing nonverbal and nondirect verbal responses for small misbehavior, and so
on. Another key consideration for future teachers is the significance of using one's voice
during lessons; a teacher must speak loudly and clearly in order to be understood by all. I
also realized that when it comes to conserving time, delivering directions is critical; incorrect
instructions might waste this valuable resource. Another factor that defines good classroom
management is fair engagement among students and the teacher; it must be understood that
when a language is taught, students must practice, which means they must speak. Another
important component is the concept of alternative sitting arrangements; it is a good idea to
organize the classroom in various positions, with the goal of improving student-teacher
contact.
Furthermore, the responsibility of the teacher to ensure that procedures areCTE taught and
practiced is essential to effective classroom management. In this way, classroom
management is more of a procedure that begins on the first day of class. Classroom

management is
not the same as discipline; rather, using a disciplinary philosophy to control classroom
conduct is an integral aspect of classroom management.
