C: Hi Duyen, Good weekend?
D: Yeah, it’s so cool. It’s like heaven after a savage first week at work. Tet holiday makes
me so idle, I don’t want to get out of my bed and move to work place.
C: Er, Yeah, see eye to eye! I have recently seen our office schedule, and I think it’s bad
news for us. This week, we have to report and analyze all the documents of our
company revenue in the first two quarters.
D: Actually, this jobs is just for you. I have done it for last week, it means that, this week,
I can have a long weekend, cause on Friday afternoon, I can take it off!
C: So, you are going to get away for this weekend? D: Definitely!
C: Well, I have to work with the auditor about the data and number of our company in
the first two quarters. But unfortunately, our manager wants me to go to the
conference, as an all-day training course.
D: So, what will you do?
C: I intend to have you to look after the auditor while I’ll attending the course.
D: Umm, I just want to relax this week, the data and numbers make me stressed...
C: Okay, let’s make a negotiation, right?
D: Okay, I’d like to make a suggestion. Well, I will be your substitute accountant, if you
can help me to present tomorrow campaign to marketing team. Is it good for you?
C: Umm, it’s quite rush for me to prepare all the numbers and documents for tomorrow
presentation. Because, tomorrow, I also have a monthly appraisal with my new intern.
It’s really important for me, since there’re some problems with them.
D: So, what do you think?
C: Well, that’s also okay, unless you prepare all the things I need for this discussion.
D: I don’t really want to do these things, it’s complicated to solve.
C: Wait a while … let’s split the difference. If you prepare for it, you will have some
special requirements which make you exciting.
D: Special requirements? What do you mean exactly?
C: Well, it means that I can help you with some trivial things in workplace, anything is
okay, but you just choose one thing. For example, I can offer you free coffee during 3
days this week. That’s fair enough, isn’t it?
D: Sound interesting! Ok, let’s me just summarize the points we’ve agreed on so far? [C:
Sure] I will help you to look after the auditor on Friday after noon, and prepare the data
and documents for the campaign tomorrow, if you can present it for marketing team,
and a special requirement – free coffee for 3 days.
C: Deal! Sounds good for both of us. Oh, it’s time to begin a new day at work. See you
later.
