In this river clean up that will be held on the 16th day of the 1st month of 2022 at 6am-7am at the
Tabuan river, we will need your full support in making this a reality. The clean-up will last for 1 hour
from 6-7am.

This river clean-up drive has the following objectives:

 To reduce trash in the rivers of the community

 To raise environmental awareness to the people in the community
 To promote camaraderie and sense of volunteerism to the youth as well as the people in the
community
 To preserve the beauty of our rivers

On this note, we would like to ask for your assistance not just in manpower but also in the supplies and
equipment needed for this activity to be successful. We will be needing the following supplies, plastic
gloves, trash bags 1st aid kit, and drinkable water. The participants will each get a snack pack that
consists of a sandwich and a juice drink. The organizers will take care of the marketing, publication,
documentation, distribution of equipment and will also be responsible for the listing of names of the
participants. The plan for disposal of the trash is at the municipal solid waste management facility.
Action plan

 The organizers will coordinate with the municipal mayor on how, when and where the
reiver clean will happen
 Organizer will reach out to the barangay captain, youth leaders, DENR and local police
to discuss the matters on the river clean-up that the mayor and the organizer has
planned and ask help regarding the manpower, health and security of the activity.
 Create a publication and marketing set-up to let the people in the community know
about the river clean-up.
 Distribute the flyers the bulletin boards spread around the community
 Potential sponsors for the river clean up will be reached out by the organizers
 Supplies and equipment will be bought/ borrowed with the help of the sponsors
 A meeting place will be set-up and transportation will be given to the participants to and
from the river clean-up site
 During the river clean-up, first aiders and security will be distributed evenly on the site
 An ambulance and Police car will be on standby if any accidents occur
 A closing message and snacks will be given by the organizers when river clean-up
finishes
 The participants will then be assisted by the organizers and police out of the river and to
back to the meeting place
 After the clean-up, the trash will be transported to the municipal solid waste
management facility to be processed and segregated.
