Hot breeze of air and the most awaited season of the year. Summer. A season

self a incredible and breathtaking moment of scenery and enjoying the natures beauty.

A lot of places have this different kind of vibes to deal with and to enjoy it. But there’s

nothing more than the feels of being at Mainit. A town where there’s a few nature

scenery that could blow your mind off. And could take you in Paradise. It is a safe

location and also a friendly community and hostile. Picturesque Mainit, in the province

of Surigao del Norte, is endowed with unspoiled astonishing, picturesque panoramas,

riches of broad agricultural plains, gifts of breathing jewels – such as Lake Mainit – and

showered with likable, peace-loving, and attractive people.

Beyond of that Mountain mountains practically encircle and isolate Mainit from

the surrounding municipalities. Mt. Diwata, with an elevation of 750 feet, is on the

Tubod-Bacuag-Mainit border, Mt. Buhangin, with an elevation of 664 feet, is on the

Sison-Placer-Mainit border, and the Mt. Tendido ranges, with an elevation of 900 feet,

are on the Malimono-Mainit border.

These mountain ranges contrast with the flat regions around the lake, which are

heavily planted with rice and are home to the majority of Mainit's barangay

The Lake. The Spring

The first is the one who receives the latter. In a never-ending cycle of ebbs and

flows, the latter spills out to the former. So goes the story of Mainit, which is inextricably

linked to the stories of the spring and the lake.

Mapaso Hot Spring is a sulfuric hot spring that drains into the Mainit River, which

runs along the outskirts of the town. The river, of course, drains into the serene Mainit

Lake, which provides food for thousands of people in adjacent cities.

Beyond of that. There’s a background story about this beautiful place of in a

small town. Focusing on the beauty of the Nature could capture the tourist eyes from

the majestic secenaries.

Tourist Spot Number 1 :

Lake Mainit is one of the country's deepest and largest lakes. In reality, it is the

Philippines' fourth largest lake. It is 173.40 square kilometers in size. It reaches a

maximum depth of 223 meters and rises 37 meters above sea level. It is one of the

region's natural ecosystems with the ability to compete with the region's other more

well-known natural wonders. The water resources of Lake Mainit are extensive; it is

home to a variety of fish species, which are the townspeople's primary source of

income. The lake is abundant in tilapia

The lake's name, "Mainit," is a typical Filipino word that means "hot" or "warm," which is

a good description of the water's temperature. A variety of hot and cold springs

surround its unspoilt waters. The lake is classified as pear-shaped, while some people

believe it resembles a teardrop.

This is one of the province's most picturesque locations. It was not previously well-

known or visited by tourists, but it is now becoming one of the area's most popular

tourist destinations.

If you want to have a closer look at the entire lake, you can rent a boat. The

boats used for excursions are not the same as those used for fishing, however fishing

boats can also be rented. The tour boat is large, holding 40-60 people, and can be

rented for as little as 3000 pesos a day. If you're going in a large group, this tour boat is

the ideal option.

Conclusion

Almost always, a place gets known elsewhere for its people. Nowadays, the Mainitnon

is both modern and conservative. While technology has reached this beautiful town,

beliefs and traditions still grow strong in the hearts of the people and are practiced up to

the present. In fact, it seems that modernity and globalization have worked well in the

preservation of its culture and in its growth and march to progress. Cable television,

cellular phones, land telephones, and transportation are among the novel innovations of

technology available to the Mainitnon.

Proof of the wonderful union of technology and custom is the existence of an Internet

website for any and all Mainitnons - mainit.org which is open to all! The unifying element

here of course, is being a Mainitnon where you get in touch with everybody through the
power of the Internet.

The town has grown comparably throughout the years, yet the old charm of its people

can still be seen and felt. It is an unspoken source of pride - being a Mainitnon. For what

could be the reason for coming home after many years of staying abroad or out-of-town

rather than claiming one's roots and beginnings.

In this great cycle of life, we remain true to our beginnings.

The Lake. The Spring. The namesake.

Mainit. The Mainitnon.
