Topic “You can see different types of plants everywhere. As you can
observe, they differ in size, shape, color, smell and even their mode of
reproduction. Like animals, plants need to continuously reproduce
themselves to sustain their species. Some reproduce through their
seeds while some utilize other plant parts.”

their mind when they read the paragraph above.
Here are the possible questions they might ask.
Problem Questions:

Activity No. 1 Dissect a Flower

(The Reproductive Parts of a Flower)
In this Activity, you are going to dissect complete flowers like gumamela, rose, daisy, lily and sampaguita; or incomplete flowers like the
flower of a papaya, or the flower of a corn. Flowers make our surroundings beautiful and they also play an important role in the reproduction of
plants. This activity will let you know the parts of the plant that enable it to reproduce! However, before doing this activity, you must remember to
take good care of plants and always ask the permission of your parents, Titos or Titas in picking a flower from their garden! Also, you must observe
proper health protocols when doing this activity.

What to do:
1. Look around your garden or your neighborhood for only one (1) example of a complete flower. You may choose from the
following flowers: gumamela, rose, sampaguita, daisy, lily, or sampaguita.
2. Examine the parts of the flower that you have chosen. Then, you may dissect the individual parts of the flower and label its
reproductive parts. Use the diagram as guide and you may also follow the example below:

Put your output here, or you can use a separate sheet of paper:
