Case:
Since last night, mrs. Afifah complained of shortness of breath. Mrs. Afifah has a history of
asthma since 2 years ago. And last night mrs. Afifah’s asthma relapsed. And she made an
appointment with the doctor rasyid at the clinic.

Making Appointment

Arneta: “Good morning, Mojosongo Hospital, can I help you?”

Afifah: “Good morning, I would like to make an appointment with Dr. Rasyid.”

Arneta: “OK ma'am, may I know your name?”

Afifah: “My name is Afifah”

Arneta: “Alright ma'am, where do you live? And can I know your phone number?”

Afifah: “I live on Merak Street No. 8 Mojosongo. My phone number is 02710302”

Arneta: “Alright ma'am when will you make an appointment with Dr. Rasyid?”

Afifah: “May I know Dr. Rasyid’s clinic hour today?”

Arneta: “Dr. Rasyid’s hospital hours today is 07.00 - 14.00.”

Afifah: “Can I make an appointment later at 8:00 am?”

Arneta: “Alright ma'am, what is your complaint?”

Afifah: “My asthma has relapsed.”

Arneta: “Okay ma'am, is there anything else I can help you with?”

Afifah: “No thanks.”

Arneta: “Okay, thank you for contacting us, good morning.”

Afifah comes to the hospital for check - up

Arneta : “ Good morning Ma’am. How can I help you?”

Afifah : “ Good morning, I want to meet Dr. Rasyid”

Arneta : “ Have you made an appointment before?”

Afifah : “Yes ma’am. I made an appointment with Dr. Rasyid today”

Arneta : “May I know your name?”

Arneta : “Yes mam, I will check your data first”

Afifah : “Yes, thank you”

Arneta : “From the data that I found, Mrs. Afifah had an appointment for a health
consultation at 8 am, right?”

Afifah : “Yes Ma’am”

Arneta : Please come to the medical check-up’s room first”

Rasyid: Good morning, can i help you?

Arneta: My mother's asthma has relapsed since last night, doctor

Rasyid: How long has your mother had asthma?

Arneta: Since 2 years ago.

Rasyid: Can you tell me why your mother asthma recurred?

Arneta: Last night my mother complained of being cold, suddenly my mother was short of
breath and coughed.
Rasyid: Alright, so the cold air makes the lungs contract. As a result, the airways can tighten
and trigger your mother's asthma to recur. Ma'am, here I will do a chest auscultation check to
find out the sound of your breath.

Afifah: Okay doctor.

Rasyid: Okay, let's start, ok. Later when I put the stethoscope on your chest, please take a
deep breath.

Alifah: Excuse me, are you mrs. Afifah?

Afifah: Right, nurse.

Alifah: My name is Alifah. Here I will check oxygen levels in your blood using an oximeter,
are you willing to do it?

Afifah: Yes, nurse.

Alifah: Alright, I'll start, ma'am. Excuse me, I'll put the oximeter on your finger.

Afifah: Yes, nurse.

Alifah: The results of the examination show that your blood oxygen levels are low with a
value of 92%. While normal oxygen levels in the blood are 95-100%. There fore it is
necessary to do oxygenation therapy. Later, there will be other nurses who will help your to
carry out oxygenation therapy.

Afifah: Alright.

Alifah: Is there anything you want to ask Ma'am?

Afifah: No thanks.

Alifah: Okay, Get well soon.

Afifah: Thank you.

Alifah: You're welcome.

SPECIFIC TREATMENTS OXYGEN THERAPY(PERAWATAN KHUSUS

TERAPI OKSIGEN) Nurse 2

Anne : Good morning, it is true with Mrs. Afifah?

Afifah : Yes, it is.

Anne : May I see the identification bracelest first? Yes, it is true. Well, I am Anne, nurse on
duty from from 7 am to 2 pm. How do you feel?

Afifah : My breath is short.

Anne : Well, today we are going to do oxygen therapy to reduce your shortness of breath, it
takes around 10 minutes. Before that, what do you want to ask?

Afifah : Nothing.

Anne : Well, I am going to close the curtains to protect your privacy. Okay Ma’am, I will
start the action but before that, I will prepare the tools first.

Afifah : Okay.
Anne : Well Ma’am, I’m sorry, it maybe a little bit uncomfortable but it is to help your
breathing, I will give you 2½ liters of oxygen.

Okay this is already installed, how do you feel right now?

Afifah : Little bit comfortable.

Anne : Well, I will be right back at 2 pm to check your nasal cannula and nasal mucosa
whether it is dry or not, later you will be given further treatment if the nasal mucosa is
dry. Before I leave this room, do you have any question Ma’am?

Afifah : Nothing.

Anne : Well, if you need my help you can press the button on the right side of bed or ask
your family to call me.

Afifah : Okay nurse.

At 2 pm the nurse back to the Mrs. Afifah’s room to absorb the nasal cannula and nasal
mucosa

Anne : Good afternoon Ma’am, how is it going? Still remember me?

Afifah : Of course.

Anne : Well, as we promised I will check your nasal cannula and nasal mucosa that is
installed on your nose, the goal is to find out whether further treatment is needed if
your nasal mucosa is dry.

Afifah : Oke nurse.

Anne : Sorry Ma’am, I will check first.

 Okay, after I checked your nasal mucosa is not dry and the nasal cannula is still
attached properly, well the oxygen therapy will be continued until your condition
improves.

Afifah : Oke nurse, do your best.

Anne : Okay Ma’am, I will be back to nurse’s room, before that, what do you want to ask?

Afifah : Nothing.

Anne : Well, I’ll go then Ma’am.

Afifah : Okay nurse.

after 2 days of therapy or medication, the patient's condition improved and was allowed
to go home. (Nurse 1)

Alifah: Good morning, is it true with Mrs. Afifah?

Afifah: Yes, that's right
Alifah: I am Alifah the nurse here, on duty from 8 am to 1 pm. How are you feeling
now?
Afifah: It's better than before
