PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION

SEMI-FINAL REQUIREMENTS
Second Semester 2021 - 2022

PART I : PRINT AND VIDEO ADVERTISEMENTS

1. Create an original PRINT ( not copied from any ads) and VIDEO
ADVERTISEMENTS respectively, featuring anything of your choice ( eg. items,
gadgets, food, place, etc. ) . Follow / consider the General Principles of Effective
Communication and the Principles of Effective Oral Communication
(for the video ) and the 7 Cs of the Principles of Effective Communication
respectively. The VIDEO AD should only be for one ( 1 ) minute.

DEADLINE for submission for both the VIDEO ( sent via personal messenger )
and the PRINT AD ( hard copy in a long - sized bond paper ) outside the CASTE
FACULTY ROOM.

PART II : Printed Output

1. With the advent of computer - mediated communication, how can you be more
responsible with what you post in your own account as a way of conveying
messages to the audience?

2. How can the use of non-verbal cues contribute to or redeem ( possibly save ) a
breakdown in communication ( e.g., misunderstanding among participants)?

3. The Philippines has been known as the “ Text Capital of the World.” Likewise, it
has been included in the list of countries which has the most number of posts on
social media. What does this reveal about Filipino traits and perhaps the Filipino
culture? Is this something you should be proud of? Discuss your opinion.

4. How will you promote responsible use of social media platforms and technology
in general, to promote unity, harmony, and respect for diversity?
