Using eXplorance Blue survey tool to generate result report

Surveys are one of the requirements for The Language Proficiency Assessment
Directorate (LPAD) at the Defense Language Institute (DLI) to collect feedback from both
students and employees to optimize the DLIFLC performance, and to evaluate and improve the
educational programs. This tool is an efficient means to generate any result report for any
specific questionnaire in a short time with less human being errors, where this tool can be set up
using a basic feature to generate a detail result report.
To use the basic features, follow the instruction below:

1. Login to Blue as a project manager or administrator.

2. Navigate to “New Report” option from home page and select it.

3. Select one of the available projects.


4. Select the “Validate” button to validate the report settings.
5. Select the “Create” button to create the report. Next you will be directed automatically to
the Info Page.
6. Add report Title.
7. Add report Description (optional).
8. Add Remarks, this will be displayed on cover pages of the report. It could be a welcome
message, report purpose, or even a high-level analysis of the results.

9. Save the Report by selecting the “Save” button in the upper right-hand corner.
10. Navigate to “Content” tab.

11. Select the “Report Block type” button to add questions.


12. Select the type/s of the data analysis report.
13. Add the data analysis types by selecting the “Add To List” button.

14. Save the Report by selecting the “Save” button in the upper right-hand corner.
15. Navigate to “Publish” tab

16. Set the Publish Date and Expiry Date


17. Select the “Generate Report” button to generate the result report. A new page will open.
18. Select the “Finalize” button. You will be redirected to the previous “Publish” tab page.

19. Select the “View Report” to display the generated report.
