Safety Devices
- Devices such as Door Interlock Switch and Warning Light should be supplied and installed by the
customer.

A. Door Interlock Switch

- The door interlock switch indicates to the operator when doorways to the X-ray room is open.
- It inhibits or not the X-ray generation, according to the local standards and customer preference.
- This switch should be installed in the entrance doors and its connecting cable should be routed to
the HFG.

B. Warning Light
- The warning light is a signal lamp installed outside of the X-ray room that indicates an X-ray
exposure is On.
- The warning light connection cable should be routed to the HFG.

3. INSTALLATION

3-1 UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION

The generator is shipped in one box to facilitate transport and installation.

Upon receipt of the X-ray unit and associated equipment, inspect all shipping contains
for signs of damage. If damage is found, notify the carrier or his agent immediately.

A. Open the shipping box, and then remove the Console, Interconnecting Cables and
other furnished parts.
B. Remove the HFG from the shipping pallet and place it near to its site in the room.
At least two people are required for this operation.
C. When the HFG is unpacked, check the part numbers and serial numbers of
each component with its identification labels, and inspect all pieces for visible damage.
If any damaged parts are found, repair or order replacements to prevent
unnecessary delay in installation.
D. Remove the HFG covers for cable connections.

3-2 CABLE CONNECTION

A. Introduction
This section provides the information necessary to connect the HFG with the system and
options.

B. Power Line Connection

This HFG is permanently connected to the power line, and powered on unless
The safety switch installed in the room electrical cabinet is off.
Internal parts of the generator are permanently powered on through power line
although the OP is off. Be sure that the safety switch is off before handling any
internal part of the equipment.

C. Verify that the power supply line is “OFF” in the room electrical cabinet.

D. The power supply line should be according to the HFG model defined
in the “Pre-Installation ” document.
