Computer System Servicing NC II.

I would like to acknowledge the presence of
Mrs. Abigail Timbreza, our assessment
processing officer, Mr. Alain Gallarde, our
Assessment Center Manager, and Dr.
Danilo Pacis, our TESDA Representative
Do not worry about their presence. They
are here to oversee the conduct of
competency assessment and to check if the
conduct is in accordance with prescribed
competency assessment methodology and
procedures. They will not assess you.
Attendance Sheet
Before I start, please submit your
admission slip. As I call your name, please
acknowledge by rising your hand, and sign
in the attendance sheet. (Collect admission
slips and check attendance)
I have here with me your accomplished
self-assessment guide. This is an
indication that you know and can perform
all the units of competency enumerated in
Computer System Servicing NC II.
I would like to welcome all of you to our
center for your assessment for Computer
System Servicing NC II. The purpose of
your assessment is to determine the level
of your competency.
Today, I am going to administer
competency assessment for Computer
System Servicing NC II. The qualification
for Computer System Servicing NC II are
composed of Basic, Common and Core
Competencies.
For our Core Competencies we do have:
 Install and configure computer systems
 Set-up computer networks
 Set-up computer servers
and networks
The different task to be performed for our
Computer System Servicing NC II are the
following:
 Disassembly and Reassembly of
Computer Systems
 Installation of Operating System and
Drivers
 Configuration of Computer Networks
 Sharing and Printing Over the
Configured Network
I will collect evidences through:
1. Observation
2. Demonstration with oral questioning
3. Written test
These assessment methods can help
measure your underpinning knowledge
and skills.
For your personal need, the rest room is
located in the end of the hall way. And you
can also take your meal at our canteen,
however, during the assessment you are
not allowed to leave the premises of the
assessment area.
If you have difficulty in understanding the
given instructions, please do not hesitate
to inform me because I am willing to
translate it for you. Also, during the
written examination, if you have dilemma
writing down your answers, don’t be shy,
because I can accept your answer verbally.
If you have concerns questions or
clarifications concerning the assessment,
you may raise your hand for I am more
than willing to assist you. But once the
assessment has started, please refrain
from asking questions. It is no longer
allowed. In the same token during the
assessment, if you have physical or any
form of difficulties, do not hesitate to call
my attention, so that we can address it
immediately.
In case you have any questions regarding
the result of the assessment, you have the
right to appeal to the TESDA Provincial
Office.

For the issuance of the National Certificate
or Certificate of Competency, the AC
Manager shall inform you where you can
claim your national certificate within five
working days after the assessment.
After the assessment and you found that
you’re not competent, don’t worry about it
because you can be reassessed anytime at
your own convenience. In case, the
reassessment if full qualification, you have
to undergo the whole assessment process.
If you are found to be competent in some of
the competencies, the reassessment shall
focus in the unit of competencies where
you are found to be not yet competent.
Moreover, if you failed in two consecutive
assessments, you will be advised to
undergo a refresher course before applying
for reassessment.
During the actual assessment please
observe safety as you perform the different
task, make sure to check on your electrical
equipment before plugging it, and while
pulling the cord as you unplug the
equipment, observer proper body
mechanics when lifting heavy equipment to
avoid back injuries, in case of accident
please call my attention immediately so
that we can provide you with first aid, and
should need the arise our first aid cabinet
is located at the right side of the workshop.
With regards of the result of your
assessment we observe strict
confidentiality these is to ensure your
integrity, the result may only available to
the authorize personnel and to the
institution that you had your actual
training, in relation to these the
assessment package is kept in a secured
place to guarantee the integrity of
assessment package.

the specific instructions, please read
it carefully and do not hesitate to ask
questions right now and if am able to
translate it from English to your local
dialect and you need assistance then I am
willing to assist you.

*sir, I am confident that I was able to
perform well during the demonstration even
if I have a hard time in the written test and
oral questioning.
My observations coincide with your
opinion. You are competent in performing
different skill for Computer System
Servicing NC II
However, I have notice that some of the
dimensions are exceed in standard size
Furthermore, you were not so confident in
answering the questions during the oral
questioning. Nevertheless, you were able to
answer all the questions correctly and the
result of the written test showed that you
are knowledgeable enough about
computers, in this manner I would like to
congratulate you for a job well done, I
found out that you are already competent.

How do you feel about the assessment?
*I feel so nervous because I forgot to install
print services

Really? So in that manner what will you do

if you will be asked to demonstrate again?
*I will try my best to control my fears and
avoid past mistakes
So what did you learn from this session?
*I have learn that I should be aware of the
installing of print services and not forgot it
again, and I should review to the knowledge
and skill for me to become confident.

Candidate number 2 you were able to

install and configure computer systems
and setup computer network maintain and
repair computer systems and networks,
actually you are very good at it However,
you are not able to Set-up computer Server
and to add roles in the print services.

Based on the result by observation during

demonstration the outcome of the
assessment is that you’re not yet
competent. However, you can be
reassessed anytime at your own
convenience.

Candidate number 2 if you have doubts

about the assessment result you have the
right to appeal, you can submit your
appeal to TESDA Provincial Office where
the assessment center and assessors are
