“Class, before we proceed to our lesson,


lets have a short activity.

Here is the mechanics of our activity, I


have here a box inside the box are some
features and characteristics of literary
approaches, all you have to do is to give
three features or characteristics that you
can choose inside the box that you think
correct in the given literary approach that
is being referred to.

1. Structuralist Approach

“Now for our lesson this week, it still the


same with our topic last week which is the
literary approaches. But before that let’s us
define what is literary criticism?” Literary criticism focuses on the
discussion, evaluation, and
interpretation of literature. This includes
classification by genre, analysis of
structure, and judgment of value.
Literary criticism helps us to understand
what is important about the text:
1. its structure
2. its context
3. how the text manipulates the reader.

presenting the characteristics/features
