ADDENDUM TO DIVISION MEMORANDUM No. 361 S. 2022 (REITERATION ON MASTER

TEACHER I AND II ENTITLEMENT IN THE ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY LEVEL)

1. In addition to the provisions relected in Enclosure A of Division Memorandum No. 361

S. 2022, Reiteration on Master Teacher and II entitlement in the elementary and
secondary level, the following paragraphs are hereby corrected:

a. Paragraph 4 of MEC Order no. 1, s. 1985 states that the total number of Master
Teacher I positions in each elementary district shall be 6.6 % of the total number of
teachers and the number of Master Teacher lI positions should be halfthe numberof
Master Teacher I or 3,4% of the total number of teachers in the district. In no case
that the umber of Master Teachers exceeds 10% of the total number of
teachers.

"c. Moreover, paragraph 7 of the said MEC Order reminds that the number of
positions allotted for every district should remain in the district. Under no condition
should such allotted items be transferred to another district unless duly authorized
by the Schools Division Superintendent. However, if there are no qualified teachers
in the district, qualified teachers fnrom other districts who are willing to transfer and
serve in the district where the vacancy originates will be considered."

2. Further, another paragraph is to be inserted to read:

"e. If there are not enough qualified teachers in the district to fill the number
of MT positions allotted to it, the positions may be filled by a qualified teacher
from other districts within the municipality; provided, however, that such
teacher shall serve in the district/ sehool where the MT position has been
allotted."

3. All other provisions in the said Memorandum remains.
