After the death of my mother in 2002 when I was seven years old and mentally retarded condition of my

father due to this incident, I along with my elder brother was brought up with my uncle for ten years
who is a tailor and he took care of seven family members in a poor financial condition. Along with my
studies, I assisted my family by helping my uncle at his tailor shop and Tutoring school students. Facing
so many struggles in financial, academic, social front and Devoid of love, care, and monetary facilities, I
believed in the education by being focused and understood my responsibility and importance of hard
work. As I am working and self –sufficient now, I take care of all the dependents of my family.

Throughout the schooling, I was a topper. I have been conferred multiple scholarships and awards for
outstanding performance in class X and XII.I also got featured in the newspapers after board results.

My school teachers and society helped me financially for my education which relieved my family from
the burden of spending on my study.They were like my extended family.This inculcated in me a great
sense of giving back to the society the support I received.Currently, I am financing two needy students
like me from my school for their education.

Also from the childhood, I had a habit of spending less and saving more.Right now I have an investment
portfolio of Rs.2.5 lacs.

I have been kind and helpful to my friends.They saw me as an inspiration and a fighter.I have always
been optimistic in the difficult situations. I have been conferred scholarships from the Gujarat
government and IOCL, and accolades from school and various other institutions for attaining 94.62% and
14th rank in the Gujarat state among 8 lacs students in class X. and achieving 99.97%le in class XII.An
article on me also got published in the leading newspapers at the time of board results.

Apart from academics, In a co-curricular domain, I represented my school in a state level INSPIRE winter
internship camp and district level events Maths-science exhibition,’Bharat Ko Jaano’,’Bharatiya Sanskriti
Gyaan Pariksha’ and literary events.

After cracking class XII exams, At NIT Surat along with academics, I organized and managed multiple
technical and cultural events in a Techno-cultural fest.I along with the team of ten members
represented NIT Surat at National level in two automotive events SAE SUPRA, 2015 and NGKC, 2014.I
volunteered in an initiative named ‘A liter of Light’ which aimed to light a small slum region in the Surat
city with the indigenous method. These developed leadership skills, ability to take initiative, and team

In the final year project –Pump as a turbine, I analyzed the performance of the pump in a reverse mode
and recommended suitable suggestions for its use as a turbine by measuring different Key Performance
Indicators.(I think I should remove it)

Currently, I am working at Siemens Ltd. I am the project manager and strategy professional of early and
comprehensive broken rail detection (BRD) project which is globally funded by Siemens HQ for R&D
effort to prevent derailment and accidents due to rail fracture, which is the first of its kind to be
implemented in the railway worldwide.

My responsibility as a project manager involves interfacing with Railway officials, technology partners,
Siemens India management, Siemens HQ, Project team regularly leading a team of 50+ colleagues from
cross-functional domain across the continents.

My responsibility as strategy professional involved identifying potential technologies for BRD by

exploring various solutions within Siemens and establishing connect with technology owners worldwide
in other verticals ,working closely in coordination with Railway officials and technology owners, Drafting
the technical specifications of BRD system, proposing cost-effective and comprehensive solution for field
trial which can enhance the current Siemens portfolio by addressing railway pain points.

This improved my decision-making skills in critical situations along with coordination and time

Through working in Siemens Ltd. For 18 months I realized that with the MBA education I can refine the
skills I need for going ahead in corporate life and also it would help me to fulfill the responsibility, I have
of my family which is dependent on me financially.I feel IIM Bangalore as a prestigious B-School in India
will be stepping stone for my career and will help me paying forward to the society the in the best way I
can so that other needy students can also achieve their dreams and ambitions.(Pl help me with career
