According to a study conducted by Russell, J. (2013) from Ohio University, there are five
ways in better prevention of injuries for dancers, this includes; (1) screening; (2) physical training;
(3) nutrition and rest; (4) specialized dance health care; and (5) becoming acquainted with the
nature of dance and dancers. For example, before entering the world of dancing, one must learn
first his physical capabilities and limitations, he has to have proper training and guidance from
professionals or simply just having much knowledge on the field and its corresponding dangers.
Proper background of the activities we plan to take can help us be happy in it while staying safe

Recovery is the time where the body acclimates to the stress and regain its energy and
original functionality. In an article from Dance Central Sydney, there are 5 common steps to
recover from a performance, it includes; stretching, staying hydrated, rinsing off with cold water,
icing body and relaxing mind. With the above-mentioned steps, one can alleviate inflammation,
pain, boost faster recovery and can help the muscles and joints to relax and stabilize blood flow.

10-11. How should you treat a common injury immediately after it happens?
RICE treatment that includes rest, ice, compression and elevation is common first aid
treatment one can use when a sudden injury happens according to Jhons Hopkins experts. But
when in a quick instance, icing should be applied first so that inflammation and swelling can be
reduced. Injuries are part of dancing so one must not only master the moves but the techniques
and ways on how to treat yourself or someone when such emergency happens.

12-13. how can recognizing the pain become helpful?

Every second counts and matter in an emergency, delays can make it worsen or else
intolerable. According to experts, if pain is tolerated and ignored, it can cause something more
dangerous to happen like of going in a surgery or a life-long damage to your body that is why it is
important to be more mindful and sensitive with what we feel about our body. Time can change
everything in a quick and hence only paranoid survives according to a quote.
