PROPOSED TITLE: Difficulties encountered by Grade 7 students of Palali Integrated School in Modular
Distance Learning.

I. CONTEXT AND RATIONALE


a. General Background
The objective of this study is to assess challenges which hinder the
effective implementation of modular distance learning of the students especially
on the grade 7 students of Palali Integrated School.
b. Legal Basis
After a year of implementing distance learning, it is still an agony
for the teachers and the school administration on how to address the dilemmas
to be encountered during the implementation of the modular distance learning
and its relationship to the academic performance of the learners.
c. Related Studies
According to Lev Vygotsky (2000), Modular Learning is a form of
distance learning that uses Self-Learning Modules (SLM) based on the Most
Essential Learning Competencies. The modules include sections on motivation and
assessment that serve as a complete guide of both teacher’s and students’
desired competencies.
d. Context
Based from the last School Year the students
e. Strategy/Intervention
The appropriate intervention to be provided for the learners is the
consistent consultation through text, call and other social media platforms
and home visitation.
f. Rationale/Motivation
The study aims to develop a strategical intervention in respond to
the problem.

II. Action Research Question


 General Objectives
This Study generally aims to correlate the level of difficulties encountered by Grade 7
students of Palali Integrated School in modular Distance learning.
 Specific Questions:
Specially, this action Research will seek answers to the following questions:
1. What is the profile of the student-respondents in terms of genders, age, highest
educational attainment of the parents and the family monthly income?
2. What are the reasons of the difficulties of the students in modular distance
learning?
3. What intervention can be developed to help students in coping to the modular
distance learning.

III. Proposed Innovation and Strategy

 GENERAL BACKGROUND
Consistent consultation through text, call and other social media platforms.

 BENEFITS
Easily surpass the difficulties encountered through the guidance of the teacher.

 MECHANICS
By consistent consultation students can easily guide students on their difficulties
encountered.
