At the end of this activity, you should be able to appraise the effectiveness of bulletin board

displays as learning resources

displays; and

2. Evaluate the displays

Describe one of the bulletin board displays

a. size of the bulletin board

 There are many bulletins in the school and in the classrooms. Some are big and some

are in medium size.

b. letterings/size and color of the letters

 The sizes of lettering depends on the size of bulletin board and it is colourful.

1. What is the importance of a bulletin board?


 It is important when it comes to holding and relaying important informations that would

serve as reminder to both teachers and students .

2. What is the best bulletin board you have seen in the classroom/school?

 The output learners’ board is the best bulletin board that I have seen in the classroom.

3. What are the educational advantages and disadvantages of a bulletin board?

 ADVANTAGES

-Anyone can make comments and it is visible to anyone.

-it shows the important things happening in school/classroom

-to motivate the learner

 DISADVANTAGES

-Distracting. The board must be keep in the back side of the classroom, out of obvious

sight of the student.

-Student Fairness. This can be disadvantage to those students whose work never make

it onto the board.

-Anyone could make a comment (they could be wrong)

4. How does a bulletin board facilitate and enhance learning?

 It provides a unique teaching-learning experience to the students and result in active

learning as a students are responsible for preparing and displaying the materials on the

board.
INTEGRATION

As a future teacher, how would you maximize the utilization of bulletin boards to achieve

higher learning and formation of good values among students?

 As a future teacher, I can use it in the classroom to display illustration, steps of process,

photographs, newspaper cuttings which is relevant to the lesson content and any other

creative work to achieve higher learning and formation of good values among students.
