Useful Information:
Heat is energy called thermal energy. This energy moves from a hot object to a colder object. For example, your hands
temperature is on average around 36°C, whereas the cold water is around 10 °C. The heat energy from your hand
moves to the water in the cup. This is heat transferring is called conduction. Conduction is particles hitting each other
creating thermal energy. Conduction can only happen when two materials touch each other.

If you touch cold water, your fingers feel cold, because your body heat is being transferred to the cold water. If you
touch the hot water, you feel hot, because the heat energy from the hot water is being transferred to your hand.
