PREFACE

As a part of the MBA circulam and in order to gain practical knowledge in the field of
management, we are required to make a report on the topics relating to the field we practiced
our internships in, the topic for this particular report being, “Buying habits of students of
course books”. The study of the same will depict an pattern overall for the whole factor
which will then be analyzed from survey.This will give information about students,how they
buy books,from where they buy, what is more important to them.The basic objective of this
project is to study the data at hand and understand how different factor affects the buying
behavior of students.

In this project we look a survey and collect data regarding the same in order to study it
statistically and find result.

This project helped me to enhance my knowledge about market research.

The topic for the project report is Book buying pattern of students. The study of the same will
depict an pattern overall for the whole factor which will then be analyzed from survey.This
will give information about students,how they buy books,from where they buy, what is more
important to them.

For this research I was helped by many including my, fellow batch mates, Internship guide
and many more throughout the project at every level during every hurdle they provided me
with assistance as well as critic to improve the quality of the report as they all wanted to help
me achieve my goal regarding this project.. Some software such as excel were also very
helpful for analysis as well as the study part of the project.

Educational management refers to the administration of the education system during which a
gaggle combines human and material resources to supervise, plan, strategise, and implement
structures to execute an education system Education is that the equipping of data , skills,
values, beliefs, habits, and attitudes with learning experiences. The education system is an
ecosystem of execs in educational institutions, like government ministries, unions, statutory
boards, agencies, and schools. The education system consists of political heads, principals,
teaching staff, non-teaching staff, administrative personnel and other educational
professionals working together to enrich and enhanceAt all levels of the educational
ecosystem, management is required; management involves the design , organising,
implementation, review, evaluation, and integration of an establishment .

ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE

LEARNWEEL

Learnweel is a budding E-Commerce platform based out of Pune, dedicated to education


sector. We deliver books and stationery items to MBA and Engineering students, to help
them learn and grow.

At the moment Learnweel is only providing services in Pune with an aim to expand to the
entire Maharashtra in the next 6 months.

VISION OF COMPANY: “Our vision is to provide higher education to the people who
wish to study and succeed in life.”

Learnweel is a budding E-Commerce platform based out of Pune, dedicated to education


sector. We deliver books and stationery items to MBA and Engineering students, to help
them learn and grow.

At the instant Learnweel is merely providing services in Pune with an aim to expand to the
whole Maharashtra within the next 6 months.

Learnweel as an organization aims to provide quality education for sustainable development


by providing socially relevant and economically responsive programmes that address the
human resource needs of the province and the country.

We want to spread literacy across the borders of our country, in order that each and each
student who aims to become a working professional is in a position to try to to so.

MY ROLE AND DUTIES


I started my internship on 15th June 2021 we started our internship on an online mode
through a platform by google meet where for the first day all the interns have introduced to
the company their roles and the important concepts necessary for their roles. For the second
day, all interns were supposed to understand about the company and its work and have to
make a ppt for the same. After that, we were assigned a task that is to find out “which
techniques and methodologies are important for market growth and make a ppt for the same.”
After that, we have to find out the competitors and services they are providing and make a ppt
for the same (only those who are providing engineering and management books). And then
after one-month exams of engineering students are there so we have to find out how can we
increase our sales and make a ppt for the same. After that, we have to find out the overall
competitors of LERNWEEL. After that, we have to learn “How to create a quiz on google
form, for this a video of a YouTube channel named Supertechnology was shared as a
reference. After that, all the interns were divided into groups/teams. I was the team leader of
my team. As a TL my duties were - to ensure that each and everyone is getting a new task
after completion of the previous task and to check their daily update and presence. The
group/team sections were given their duties which were regarding the sections which interns
were given as the role they needed to analyze the markets and perform the given task. Interns
were supposed to perform their duties on time. Now each of us was given an individual task,
prior that we were given a common task. My first individual task was “To find out a platform
where we take can take a mock test for students, subscription charges, and facility provided
by that platform.” After that, I have to find engineering MCQ from a telegram group and
arrange them in a particular temple with proper watermark and alignment.  After that, I have
to make a list of Instagram account of 1000 food influencer/blogger of a particular food type
which has at least minimum 5K followers. My last task was to make a list of 500 youtube
channels of food influencers/bloggers.

With all this activities all the interns had often audio/video meeting with the guide regarding
of given task.

To sum it up our duties mainly included:

         Daily reports or updates on the slack platform

         Mark attendance or presence  by daily login at least 4 hours on groove hr portal

         To monitor and take the daily report of my team

         Complete the given task within the given time

SWOT ANALYSIS OF LEARNWEEL


Now to know, what the strengths, weakness, what all opportunities are .The SWOT analysis
of LEARNWEEL is as follows:

STRENGTHS

1. Learnweel is only oriented for engineering and managements students.

2. It has a unique features i.e. students can return their books after they completes it or
done with that.
3. All books cover the entire topic as per university syllabus.
4. It gives discount more than others.
5. Provide books semester wise also.

WEAKNESS:

1. Industry is very competitive for the Organisation.


2. Works in Pune only.
3. New in industry, will take time to set roots.
4. They are slow in development and execution.
5. Limited work(delivery) area, due to covid, like in red zone or contaminated zones
they can’t work.

OPPORTUNITIES:

1. They can expand their working area in Maharashtra as well as in PAN India.
2. Due to online teaching, students requires hard copy of books also for self study and
revision. This will help them to increases their sales.

THREATS:

1. Existing companies have big brand name and large market share.
2. They are in the Industry in which entry is easy but Sustaining in market is difficult.
3. Competitors have huge customer base and they also have high amount of cash in
hands.

PROJECT PROFILE

TOPIC INTRODUCTION: In my Summer Internship at LEARNWEEL I gained


Knowledge about How to study the market area of a company under the guidance of my
mentor. To run a successful business, it is essential that you know who your customers are,
what they need, and how to approach them. Market research can help you get accurate and
specific information about your customers and competitors, which is a critical part of starting
or expanding your business. Consumer demands impact and direct all aspects of your
company’s activities and can determine the success or failure of your business.

OBJECTIVES OF STUDY
The major objectives of the study are:

 TO Study and analyze the market of LEARNWEEL.


 How Should Company Promote their Product/Service?
 The main objective of marketing research is to identify the needs, wants and demands
of the target customer, so that the company can changes in the product according to
the important requirements.
 To learn about buying habits of student of their course books.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
TYPE OF STUDY: The type of study used in this project report is SURVEY REPORT. A
survey report is a document that is used for objectively presenting the facts obtained during
the survey. lt offers a summary of all the responses in a simple and aesthetically attractive
format.

SAMPLE SIZE: Sample size in general is the number of responses that are being obtained
from the respondents by filling the questionnaire. The sample size for this study was 64
respondents which we collected from 64 students.

POPULATION: To generalize the findings of our study to a larger sample of people. As a
result the population is the grou p to which our finding is applied. We may also refer to the
population in any pool from which a researcher draws a statistical sample. The population for
this study were student’s employees and employers.

SAMPLE UNIT: It includes all the students.

SAMPLING METHOD: The sampling method used in the study was convenient sampling
in which respondent are chosen according to the availability and convenience.Convenience
sampling is type of non-probability sampling approach that is based on data obtained from a
pre-selected group that is readily available in the study.this sort of sampling approach entails
locating particular whenever we can find them usually anywhere it is convenient.

This questionnaire was forwarded to them via email and responses were recorded for the
same.

LIMITATIONS OF RESEARCH
 The Covid-19 has not been eradicated/over in India making the study not complete.
 Identification of each and every bias when in combination of multiple at same time is
different if not impossible.
 There is no limit to how depth the research is done as more and more research will
identify new elements each time as it is psychological in nature.

• More than 76% of respondents are in the age of 21-25. This means most of the
respondent are either fresh graduates or are still continuing their studies.

INTERPRETATION:

 50% students prefer to buy books in bulk. It means quantity sell


 More than 40% students prefer to buy individual book,it means more profit.

CONCLUSION
The main intention to this report is to get an idea about course book buying pattern of
students

According to survey we knew that most of the students who are living in urban areas prefer
books in form of hard copy over to soft copy (pdf).They prefer to buy their course book
online. They choose a famous know authors books over to a general author books it show that
students are really concerned about quality of content, trust on author or publication.
