Today is Monday and it is the third week of our internship program. Our teacher, Ma'am
Emily sent a link to our group chat for our weekly huddle. I was not able to attend to our group
meeting because of my personal reason but I sent my summary about the previous lesson to
Ma'am Emily.

July 13, 2021

It is Tuesday and my teacher gave us an activity. As usual, she posted it in our google
classroom and she also gave us a guide questions to the video. The video that she sent was all
about on how to start an online fashion business. I also enjoyed watching it because I also want
to experience or want to know how to be an online seller. It is a guide video on how to be a
successful online seller. I was amazed on his dedication and for not giving up on his business.

July 14, 2021

Today, it is Wednesday and thankfully my teacher didn't post anything in our google
classroom. I was able to resumed my activity yesterday. I only watched it because my aunt
asked me to accompany my grandmother to clinic for her check-up. I immediately said yes so
that I did not finish my activity yesterday.

It is Thursday! Today's activity, we have to read an article about the Philippine Fabrics. I
also watched the video below. The article was a little bit boring and I was not able understand it
but the video below caught my attention because I was amazed on how they weaved the piña.
It is very interesting on how they showcase piña clothes.

Today, it is Monday and it is the fourth week of our internship program. It is the day for
our weekly huddle. We have to share what we have learned from the last activities. I was not
able to attend because I have so many things to do.

It's Tuesday! Thankfully! Ma'am Emily did not post anything to our google classroom. I
was able to resume what I have been doing yesterday. Since it is my rest day, I was able to
enjoy the whole day.

Today is Wednesday! I thought we have an activity but my friends said that our teacher
did not post anything in our google classroom. I am happy because it is another rest day for us.

July 22, 2021

It is Thursday! I was not able to check my google classroom due to my poor connection. I
seek some help to my classmates especially to my friends to notify if there was an activity
posted in our google classroom. Meanwhile, Ma'am Emily posted our assigned tasks. She
posted two activities in our google classroom. It is a very busy day but I just read the article and
watched the video. I was not able to make a review paper because I babysit my niece.

Today, our teacher did not post any activity. Again, it is our rest day but I was not able to
rest because I have to do my review paper and babysit my niece. It was hard for me to finish
the activity because my laptop also isn’t working.
July 05, 2021

It is the second week of our internship program. Last week, Ms. Aquino posted 3
activities (2 videos and 1 article) in our google classroom. We should watch the videos and read
the article to accomplish my task. We must write a review paper or reflection paper after
watching and reading the given activities. We also need to make our journals by the end of the
week.

Today, she sent us a message to make a short summary from the previous activities. We
shared all the new ideas and learnings that we have learned orally but due to the poor
connection, some of my colleagues just sent their summary through private message. We must
also submit our journals by the of the day.

Today, Ms. Aquino posted an article entitled "Garment Production Process". Just like
before, we have to read it and write a 250-word review paper. This article was a bit shorter
than the previous article so it was easy to read and understand.

July 7, 2021

It is Wednesday! Today, we don't have any activity in google classroom. Ma'am Emily
did not give us any activity maybe because some of my classmates have exams. They have
examination because they want to shift their curses. I am activity free and I have nothing to do
so I was able to help my mom to household chores and was able to rest at the meantime.

Today is Thursday. I checked my google classroom and saw the activity that ma'am Emily
sent us. We have to watched the video and write the difference between the two tech packs.
The video that she sent was very helpful and I enjoyed watching it. It was well - explained and
easy to understand.

 It is Friday! Today, ma'am Emily sent a link where the article is. Our activity is to write
300 words essay about the "Different Technological Methodologies Used in Garment Industry" I
have to read it and understand so that it is easy for me to write a review paper about the said
article. Honestly, It was hard for me read it because the article was not that short. It takes 30
minutes or an hour to read it but thankfully I understand it quickly because they have common
similarities from the previous lesson about Artificial Intelligence.

Today is the first day of our internship program. I was not able to attend in our
orientation because of the power outage in our barangay so I seek for help to my classmates
especially to my friends. I asked them about the rules and activities that being discussed during
the orientation. They explained it to me clearly and send the internship activities. I was beyond
blessed and thankful to them because I was able catch up.

June 29, 2021

It is our 2nd day of our internship program. Our assigned adviser in internship program
gave our first activity. Our first task is to watch a video entitled "How To Buy Fabrics" and write
a review paper about it. Our adviser, Ms. Emily Aquino, gave us a guide questions so that we
can easily accomplish our task. I kinda enjoyed the video because it shows the different
classifications and types of fabrics. I love how the girl on the video speaks. Her voice was so
energetic that makes me smile while watching the entire video. Since I love clothes, it is very
interesting to know what kind of fabrics that being used to your favorite clothes.

Wednesday, 3rd day of our internship program. Ms. Aquino gave our second activity.
Yesterday, she posted a video in our google classroom on how to buy fabrics, but today, she
posted an article about "Implementing Artificial Intelligence in the Fashion Industry" We need
to read that article carefully so that I can write a reaction paper about it. It was hard for me to
read the whole article because it is so long but still, I enjoyed reading it. My tactics on reading
such a long article needs a lot more patience. I will scan it first and highlights all the important
details and data. Then read it again thoroughly. I also have dictionary on my side so that if I
found uncommon words, I can easily look into it.

July 1, 2021

New day, new activity! It is the 4th day of our internship program. My adviser posted
another video through google classroom. We also need to watch it and write our thoughts
about the video. If the first video was all about on fabrics, then this second video was all about
the patterns and the importance of blueprints. It is kinda hard for me to understand the video
because unlike the first video, it is kinda boring and the she talks fast. I was distracted to the
drawing so I don't have any idea on what she is saying. I watched the video 3 times for me to
write my review paper.

July 2, 2021

It is the 5th day of our internship program. I was waiting for my teacher to post our new
activity. After few hours, I checked my google classroom and I asked my classmates if our
adviser posted anything. While waiting, I double checked my activities. I also slept all day. I
woke up 4 in the afternoon. I quickly opened my phone checked if there was a new activity.
Thankfully, my adviser did not post anything. So, I call this day our rest day.
 “How to Get Your Ideas Made into Clothes”

The video is very useful especially to those people who wants to start their own fashion

company. It was very detailed and a lot of different samples were discussed on the video. Based

on the video, you have to make sure the garments fit and it was functioning well before making

multiples of product. We should also make sure that the materials and the colors were suited to

the design. Tech packs and patterns that being discussed on the video caught my attention. Tech

packs is a spreadsheet that made on Microsoft excel that contain the different details of garments

to create vision to your upcoming products. It contains the list of measurements and all the

materials such as buttons, threads, zippers, and fabrics that used in garments. Tech pack makes

you to create plans on everything that can help you to make a better decision in advance.

Patterns are also important. According to the video, patterns are the blueprint of garments. It is

necessary because it contains the precise measurement and labels where to cut the garments. If

the pattern was yours, whether it is paper pattern nor digital file, then you have the rights to

change every detail of the products. You can change the colors, the designs and even the fabrics.
 “Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Fashion: Are

Consumers Ready?”

Implementing artificial intelligence in fashion industry is very useful especially to

consumers and designers. Since AI can gathered a large amount of data, it can gain insight on

quickly evolving fashion trends and can identify what consumers’' want. With the help of artificial

intelligence, consumers' efficiency in choosing the trendiest fashion will be enhanced and it is

easier for them to choose what to wear. Additionally, AI can also expand designers' creative ideas

since it can store images and videos on social media about fashion and can spot defects in fabric

to ensure that the colors of the finished textile match with the originally designed colors.

Recommending and assisting designers on choosing creative patterns, trending styles, and

different colors could also a big help. On the article that I have read, it can also use in assisting

some stylist because AI can also contain data of customers' preferences and their general style.

AI can also give customers' accurate sizes but despite of these benefits, there's also a possibility

that the product will not function as expected and our expectations to AI will not be met.

 Garment Production Process

A Garment Production is a process of converting raw materials into finished products or

into a ready to wear apparel. Under of the Garment Production Process are the manufacturing

steps. There are 12 steps in Manufacturing. According to the article, in order to meet customer's

expectation, you must know and follow these common steps. Being a garment manufacturer is

not easy. You are not just going to cut the fabrics, do a little stitch then ship your products. You

must check every detail of your garments. Checking the quality of your fabrics, looking for stains,

flaws and defects of the fabrics is a must to avoid the negative feedbacks from your customers.

Take note, always be careful when you are cutting your fabrics because when you cut it wrong,

it is hard to fix it. Fusing and Pressing is necessary. Fusing and pressing are two processes which

have the greatest influence on the finished look of a garment. Fusing creates the foundation and

pressing put the final seal of quality on the garment. In the last steps of making a product retail-

ready, garments are folded, tagged, sized, and packaged according to customer specifications.

Also, garments may be placed in protective plastic bags, either manually or using an automated

system, to ensure that the material stays clean and pressed during shipping.
 Different Technological Methodologies Used in Garment

Industry

This article will cover the importance of technology in the garment industry. It also

includes the study of the apparel in different countries. These countries are India, China,

Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. Apparel Manufacturing advance in technologies were

adopted. In Apparel Industry, it includes the companies that operate by producing,

manufacturing and supplying apparels. It introduces the different types of technologies that used

in different sectors. Technologies are important in our work and in our everyday life. More and

more technologies are being introduced in the world. When we say technology of course there's

a lot of advantages and disadvantages. Time Management is important in apparel industry so in

order to reduce time. These machines are partially able to function on their own in some stages

of production however they can’t make a proper decision or no decision at all on their own in key

decision-making points due to the limitation in the extent of automation as this type of

automation is only present to play as a helping hand and to reduce the overall time spent on

producing. One of the major disadvantages is that in case of a breakdown these machines take

much longer and are more complex to resolve than their basic counterparts, also the operator

operating these machines needs to be aware of the functionalities which leads to a one-time

huge cost overhead on the manufactures and which some manufactures may not be willing to

do so.
 Piña: An Enduring Philippine Fabric

In the article, it is very nostalgic on how they showcase piña. There's a lot of steps on how

they weaved the piña cloth and it is very interesting on how these vintage clothes was made.

Showing the history and production of piña at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. It also

includes the tactile display of the fiber where people were able to touch and feel the texture of

the finished product or the dress. According to the Hinabi Project organizers, “Today, the piña

fiber is often blended with silk, cotton and abaca to create intricate and translucent textiles that

are a proud symbol of Philippine national identity.” In short, the piña is enjoying a renaissance as

it gains recognition as a uniquely Philippine artisanal creation.
