At the end of an hour session, students of Grade 7 will be able to:


a. Define what analogy is and its types ;
b. Differentiate the five types of analogies;
c. Supply appropriate terms to complete an analogous series of words or expressions;

A. Spelling
The teacher will use the words that the students will encounter in class

The teacher will use one unknown/unfamiliar word that the students will
encounter in class discussion

C. Motivation
Game: “number sequence”
The class will be exposed to a mind game wherein they are to be asked by
the teacher to answer orally the series of numbers.

After the activity, the teacher will ask the following questions:

a. How did you solve the problem in sequencing the numbers?


b. Do you think the skill you applied in solving such problem can also be
applied in analogy? How?

The teacher will discuss what Analogy is and its types.
