FOREWORD
(BELCP) as its major response and commitment in protecting the health, safety, and well-
being of learners, teachers, and personnel. Its mandate is the continuity of education despite
of this pandemic covid19 but only under the health protocols set by the Department of Health
and the World Health Organization. In order to deliver educational services in our school we
must be well prepared to respond to crisis and disruptive events that arise and to be able to
invoke continuity plans as needed. Bannawag Integrated School created its avenue of
delivering learning modalities based from best practices and local resources currently being

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Education should be our highest priority. Despite the present condition, DepEd is
guided with the pronouncement of our Secretary, Leonor M. Briones, “Education Must
Continue”. Definitely, the issuance of DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2020 School Calendar and
Activities for School Year 2020-2021 and Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan,
interpret the assurance of DepEd to guarantee educational continuity amid the crisis but the
health and safety of our learners and the whole school communities are of utmost importance
and must be protected at all times. In this regard, Bannawag Integrated School find ways for
learning to continue despite the threat and worries brought about by COVID-19, while
ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all learners, teachers, and personnel of the
school.
2021 commits to strengthen its mandate to support and capacitate the school and learning
centers even at home to ensure a conducive learning environment and in complying to quality
standards prescribed in this new normal façade of education. BIS-ECQ COVID will carry out
its programs, projects and activities with “kindness, understanding, and love,” fully aware that
there is much work to be done in the continuity of learning amidst this crisis. The challenge of
BIS-ECQ COVID is to implement the flexible and passionate teaching and learning delivery
options amid the crisis and shall not compromise the delivery of quality education but put all
efforts to implement the plans anchored to the four cornerstone of accomplishment like

innovation, communications, collaborations and critical thinking in this new normal of basic
education. Therefore, this Learning Continuity Plan is crafted to effectively and efficiently
address the educational needs of all learners employing various innovative strategies covering

I. INTRODUCTION
Bannawag Integrated School are addressing challenges in the basic education through an
adoption of the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 012, s.
2020, otherwise known as Adoption of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan for
School Year 2020-2021 in Light of the COVID 19 Public Health. This Learning
Continuity Plan is an integrated and collaborative output of the newly organized Basic
spearheaded by the school Principal. This BELCP seeks to ensure that students' learning
improve even amidst disasters such as natural calamities, storms, fires, and even
pandemics. The BELCP Team indeed created a learning avenue as the main pathway of
covers the important requirements of education in the time of COVID-19, such as, Most
teachers, and learners, health standards protocol in schools and workplaces, special
activities like Brigada Eskwela, Oplan Balik Eskwela, and partnerships involving PTA
and Barangay Officials. These requirements are considered key elements of the strategies

that operationalize the BIS-ECQ COVID which were streamlined and updated from the K
multiple learning delivery modalities such as distance learning and blended learning, Self-
Learning Modules (SLMs) shall be made available in print and offline/online digital that
help learners, parents, and teachers implement these learning delivery modalities formats
for use this opening of classes August 24, 2020. Thus, BIS- ECQ COVID aimed to
delivery options using different modalities (localized and contextualized) with emphasis
on Modular Distance Learning and Blended Learning and to effectively and efficiently
deliver the “Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC)” to ensure quality education

Education for Bannawag was behind at that time because the nearest school, which is
Baluarte, Santiago City was 8 kilometers away. The only means of transportation by which
pupils can reach the school is by hiking or riding on a cart pulled by a carabao. Due to this
scenario, the barangay officials and its residents keep on pushing that a primary school be
opened. A sixth grader in the person of Fermin Salem is qualified to teach and finally
became the first teacher knowing that there has been scarcity of teachers during that time.
Grade I and II had been established and on the following year Grade III and IV were opened
by Ines Yarcia as the teacher. It was in the 1950’s when enrollees flocked from the nearby
barrios – La Paz, Sta. Rosa, Balintocatoc, San Jose and Santa Rosa. The two teachers
cannot accommodate all the school-age children and this paved the way to open Grade V
and VI. Mr. Juan Cabanban, a retired District Supervisor, came to see the place and decided
to give another teacher, a reason why Bannawag Elementary School was born.
As years passed, enrollees from nearby barangays like Bannawag Norte, Balintocatoc
Luna, San Jose, Sta. Rosa, Villa Pascua, La Paz and Bannawag Sur came by. Through the
relentless effort of the then barangay officials headed by Capt. Aquilino R. Apdan, with
Mrs. Luz M. Alay-ay as the Head-Teacher, the school opened as Integrated School in the
year 2003 under the administration of Hon. Junie E. Cua and Hon. Pedro L. Bacani as the

Congressman and Governor respectively. In its first operation as Integrated School, first and
second year level were opened until fourth year high school. It was administered by Mrs.
Luz M. Alay-ay, followed by Rodesto A. Ramirez, succeeded by Lolita DG. Bayaua, then
by Dr. Sherly C. Cainguitan. At present, the school was under the administration of Dr.
Grade6, Grade 7 to Grade 10 as Junior High School, and Grade 11 and Grade 12 as Senior
High School with Administration, Business and Management (ABM) and Humanities and
Social Sciences ( HUMSS) as tracks offered with a high number of 31 teaching and non-
teaching staff .
