1. It is the policy of tJre Department of Education (DepEd), to promote effective and
efficient policies and programs. To realize this, the DepEd should be free from any partisan
activities. As such, this Office reminds the officials and."'ployees to practice the highest
form of professionalism and to observe tJre following measures:
a- Refrain from seeking endorsements, recommeredatioos, contributions,
support, consideration, political accommodations, or any form of
interventioa from other government Frsonnel or similar entities outside
of the DepEd;
b. Desist from soliciting favorable actions from polidcians to facilitate the
implementation of programs, projects, or activities, excq)t tlose covered
by tle Adopt-a-School Program, initiated by ttre local governaent units,
funded by the Spe.cial Education Fund (SEF), or covered by Partnership
agreements and/or allowed by law;
c. Follow the internal rules and regulations of the Department on protocols
relative to conmunication, corresponderrce, and other appropr:iate work
processes; and

d. Write letters of requests or correq)ondences directly to tlle Office of the

S€cretary regardhg coacerns that may be related to basic education.

2. Failure to comply with any of the abovementioned acts shall mean outriglt denial of
the request or al4rea1 for eonsideration in the Office of the S€cretary.

3. Officials and employees are liker-ise directed to exercise utmost attention, prudence,
and judiciousness in tle implementation and delivery of basic education programs and
aerglces.
