there’s any throw it in trash bins.

Settle yourselves!

Please be reminded with our classroom rules. (Pupils are Listening)

our topic/ discussion.
2. Avoid unnecessary noises.
3. Do not hesitate to ask if you have
questions and other concerns.
4. Observe cleanliness at all times.
5. Do not cheat!

Are we clear with our classroom rules class?

Yes, Ma’am!
Very Good!

f. Review

Now I have here different pictures, I

am going to measure this and you are
going to tell me its perimeter.

(Answer depend on the measurement)

g. Presentation of the Objectives

At the end of the lesson you are expected to:
1. Finds the perimeter of triangles,
squares, rectangles, parallelograms,
and trapezoids. (M4ME-IIIi-51)
2. Performs a mathematical equation of
perimeter.
3. Participates actively in class
discussions.

2. Developmental Activities
A. Pre-reading Activities
1. Motivation

Do you see the picture?

Yes Ma’am.
What do you see in the picture?
(Answer depend on what pupils see)
As you can see there are people in the
picture. Where do you think they are?
In the Playground.
What do you think did they do?
Exercising/ Playing.
Okay. Very Good.

2. Motive Questions

Today I am going to read you a story and you

will answer this question.

What does Layla do to stay fit and healthy?

3. During Reading the Story

Layla
Layla is a Grade 4 student she wants to stay
fit and so she walks around the square park
before going to school. The park has 4 sides,
each side measures 30m. While she was
doing it she never forget to perform the safe
protocols which are; wearing facemask,
sanitizing, making a social distancing and
many more that will make her safe to the
viruses.

4. Post-Reading

1. Who wants to stay fit and healthy? Layla

2. Where does Layla walk? Park
3. What did Layla do to become safe to She wears facemask, she sanitized, and do a
the viruses? social distancing.
4. Like Layla, do you exercise? Yes Ma’am
5. What do you think is the benefit of
performing exercises in our lives? It makes us fit, healthy and stronger.
6. What is the measurement of each
park’s side? 30m each side.
7. What does Layla do to stay fit and She walks in the park before going to school
healthy? and performing the safe protocols.
8. What is the measurement of all sides
of the park?
120m.
5. LEARNING ACTIVITIES
a. Discussing new Concepts and
Practicing new skills

Perimeter- is the total length of the sides of a

two-dimensional shape.

15cm 15cm

15cm
Let S be the length of one side of the
equilateral triangle. If P is the perimeter of the
triangle, then
P= s+s+s
= 15+15+15
= 45cm

15cm

Let S be the length of one side of the square

and P be the perimeter of the square. Then,
P= s+s+s+s
= 15+15+15+15
=60cm
25cm

15cm

Let L be the length and W be the width of a

rectangle. If P be the perimeter of the
rectangle then,
P= 2L + 2W
= (2x25) + (2x25)
= 80cm

Now, you are going to answer the following in

your paper and we are going to check after if
your answers are correct.
10cm

40cm

1.

7cm 21cm
2.
20m

4m 48m
3.
b. Developing mastery (leads to
formative assessment)
Now, we are going to have a group activity
please be reminded of our group rules.
