1. What significant ideas or concepts have you learned about action research?
I learned that doing action research can help future teachers understand what is happening in the
classroom and identify ways to improve teaching. It is also a vital part in recognizing the holes in
the teaching process .Through action research we can develop new knowledge and provide
solutions to the issues we face in the field.

III. Abstract
This paper attempted to prove that the strategic Intervention Material (SIM) can significantly
address the least mastered skills and learning competencies from K-12 curriculum guide. Different and
multiple activities were created in order to improve and make the pupil understand difficult concepts
about the subject matter. Assessments were made and subjected to parallel testing. The items in the test
were analyzed. The activities were finalized and administered in T.elementary School with 23 grade IV
pupils as respondents. The mean, mastery and performance level on the actual lesson and utilization of
SIM were computed . The results were also compared. The mastery and performance level before and
after the use of the strategic intervention material were interpreted. It showed that there was significant
difference on the mastery and performance levels of pupils. This suggests that the utilization of SIM helps
the pupils to master the difficult and least mastered competencies.
The study’s problem is that students are having difficulty understanding how to improve their
performance level through the use of multiple activities.
