1 SCOPE
This Specification covers the general requirements for the furnishings and
appliances for all offices, halls, wet rooms, etc. of the station buildings.
2 GENERAL
The furnishings and appliances cover all furniture, utensils and all other
necessary equipment to make a building or the rooms ready for perfect use.
All materials, built-in components and the entire electrical equipment shall be in
accordance with the valid standards and regulations, in addition all supplied
furnitures shall comply with the latest prevailing trends and actual needs.
During the delivery the furnitures shall be sufficiently protected.
The list of furnishings given in the following only covers basic furnishings and
does not claim to be complete in any way.
The EPC-Contractor is to submit detail drawings, illustrations, samples and
materials to be used etc. to the Engineer for approval before starting with
furnishing. The Engineer reserves the right to order changes to be made in the
drawings, the performance of construction and furnishing.
Definitions:
“Client” means the Saline Water Conversion Corporation
“Engineer” means the engineering company entrusted with the project
management and construction supervision of the project.
“EPC Contractor“ means the company or group of companies entrusted by the
client with the Engineering, Procurement and Construction
of the project(s)
3 QUALITY STANDARDS
All articles are to be of the best quality and are to meet the highest technical
standard available on the market.
The Contractor should try to differentiate between the various categories of
personnel by using various furnishing standards while meeting the high quality
demands.

4 FURNISHINGS
4.1 Office, Category A, Manager
Room-high, built-in sectional wall cabinet with adjustable shelves for files, paper
etc. One cabinet section as wardrobe.
Front: oak
Manager’s desk approx. 100 x 200 cm, chrome framework
Desk top: leather - oak
One manager’s chair, swivel armchair, high back, leather upholstery, swivel base
chrome and four chairs with leather upholstery and fixed base.
Additional desk approx. 120 x 50 cm: chrome - oak for dictaphone, telephone etc.

Two low tables: steel - glass, rectangular or round (matching with armchair)

Two table lamps, vertical blinds or drapes.
For the arrangement of furniture electric, telephone, computer outlets etc. shall be
considered.
Necessary hard ware components are specified in the specification S05.
4.2 Office, Category B, Chief Operator and Maintenance Engineers

Min. size 90 x 90 cm, depth min. 15 cm made of steel, enameled inside, resistant
to impact and scratch resistant, largely acid and alkali resistant. Outside basic
enameled. Minimum steel sheet thickness is 3.5 mm.
Chromium plated single lever mixing valve with ceramic sealing and shower lever
as well as a temperature limiter and an integrated backflow preventer. Chromium
plated shower tap with adjustable jet (soft / hard), plastic shower hose (min.

4.8 Prayer Room
Several carpets, amount depending on the size of the room and the amount of
operation personal at the station. Approval of material, colour, size, amount etc.
of the carpets is the right of the client.
Book shelfs (w x d x h = 80 x 30 x 70 cm) and loudspeaker system
4.9 Lounge
One dining table with at least eight chairs, closets (w x d x h = 240 x 52 x 180 cm)
along the wall for storage of personnel belongings.
