II. RATIONALE

The PA Advance ROTC Program is the primary source of Reserve

Officers in the AFP. Thus, it must be regularly conducted to continuously provide
a pool of Reserve Officers as well as Officers of Basic ROTC cadets in all the
Cadet Corps in order to keep alive the ROTC Program in Schools, Colleges, and
Universities. Against all odds and amidst the pandemic, Sultan Kudarat State
University-Main Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit (SKSU-Main ROTCU)
must conduct the completion of Basic and Advance ROTC for Academic Year
2021-2022 through a joint graduation ceremony held this 25 June 2022 in SKSU-
ACCESS Gymnasium.

The present crisis in our country and the world affects the different activities
including mass gatherings because the year 2020 has not been kind to the
Philippines. It has not spared the educational system as well. It is not easy to
adjust from a traditional face-to-face delivery of the program to a remote learning
setup. ROTC thus has a glorious past of instilling rudiments of the responsibility
and obligations of being a Filipino citizen in SKSU students.

Honor, Patriotism, Duty.
