my room and would tell me how happy she was that
there was a possibility that she would be accepted into
our great country. We were so happy for her.
Upon my release from medical “prison”, Tranle
made it a point to push my wheel chair out of the
hospital and to recovery at home. She gave us all a big
hug and then removed her mask and there was the most
beautiful little face anyone could want to see, in or out
of the hospital. I was on my way and so was Tranle. We
waited anxiously to hear news from her!
Then on November 20th, 2020, I received an email
from Tranle. She said that she had just returned from
Helena and had passed the tests and had just been
sworn in as an American Citizen! Wonderful news
for all concerned. But then, Why not? She speaks four
languages, German, French, Vietnamese and English.
Oh, I almost forgot, she speaks “giggles” very well,
too. So there you have a citizenship story that worked
out. She waited, she studied. She was nervous but
confident. We knew that she would do it, hands down.
Oh, yes, we are blessed and thankful for the staff in
the Cardiology department but especially for American
Citizen, Tranle Granlie.
Now let’s not let America let her down. She is a
