A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of the integration of
social science perspective and community action initiatives.
B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to synthesize the integrative experience
of implementing community-action initiatives applying social
sciences’ ideas and methods.
C. Learning Competencies/ The learners must be able to recognize the value of undertaking

A. Reviewing previous lesson or What are the types of communities according to human
presenting the new lesson associations?
Can you define what is Gemeinschaft? How about Gesellschaft?
B. Establishing a purpose for the Picture Analysis
lesson The teacher will distribute pictures about the different typologies of
communities according to human association, social, political, and
economic functions and social space.

2. Based on the pictures, can you guess our topic for today?
C. PRESENTING EXAMPLES/ The teacher will give examples about the different typologies of
INSTANCES OF THE NEW LESSON communities according to social, political, and economic functions
and social space.
D. Discussing new concepts and Group Activity: Role Playing
practicing new skills #1 The learners will be divided into two groups. Each group
will make a role play about the types of communities
according to social, political, and economic functions and
social space. Preparation time is 10 minutes and 5 minutes
presentation.

The result of their group presentation under Procedure D will be
