Greetings from Euro School!
Subject: Guidelines for students visiting Pokhara - Ghandruk on School Excursion from
11.11.2022 to 14.11.2022
Schedule for students visiting Pokhara - Ghandruk on School Excursion:
1. On 10.11.2022 Thursday, Parents must ensure that their wards go to bed early, (no later
than 09:30 pm) so that they are well rested for the excursion.
2. On 11.11.2022, Friday, Parents must drop their wards at Silver Oak Banquets, Baluwatar
at 7.00 am.
3. Students must have a heavy breakfast from home.
4. The students will depart for Pokhara at 7.30 am, by AC buses. On the way they will have
Lunch at Hotel Siddhartha, Benighat (11.30 am) and shall later in the day, check in at Hotel
Atithi, Pokhara (3.30 pm).
5. On arrival students will be taken for a walk on the Lake Side and shall enjoy dinner, music
and dance.
6. On 12.11.2022 (Day 2 -Saturday) the students should be out of their hotel rooms by 7.00
am, followed by breakfast. The buses will proceed to Ghandruk by 8.00 am. On the way,
they will visit Bindhyabasini Temple and enjoy lunch at Biretathi (10.30 am). The students will
spend the night at Lodges at Ghandruk.
7. On Day 3(13.11.2022 – Sunday), they will be returning back to Pokhara and check in at the
hotel. (1.00 pm) They will spend the day sightseeing in Pokhara (Devi’s falls, Peace Stupa,
Mountain Museum etc.). Night stay at Hotel Atithi
8. On Day 4 (14.11.2022 - Monday) the students will leave early in the morning to view the
sunrise from Sarangkot, return back to the hotel for breakfast and depart for Kathmandu (8.30
am). On the way, the students will visit Bandipur and have lunch at Hotel Siddhartha at
Benighat (11.30 am)
The students need to be picked up from Silver Oak Banquets, Baluwatar by the parents.
Packing Guidelines for students:
1. Parents should ensure that their wards pack clothing, appropriately to the weather. Down
Jackets should be provided to the wards. On the day of the visit to Ghandruk, Students must
dress in full length trousers and warm clothes. No shorts are allowed.
2. Students should carry with them, the following items: Woolen cap, Trekking pole,
Sunglasses, Sunblock cream/ Lotion, Down Jackets, Sunglasses, Trekking/ Trail shoes,
Comfortable trousers for walking, towel, bedsheet, mosquito patches and a sleeping bag.
3. Students may bring Cameras and Mobile phones with them, but no other gadgets are
allowed.
4. Students may carry pocket money not exceeding NR 2000/-. The money can be spent for
souvenirs for parents, siblings etc, rather than on junk food.
5. Please provide appropriate medicines and poly bags for vomiting, in case your ward has
any kind of problem.
General Guidelines:
1 The main luggage bag should have a lock and key as the students will be leaving these bags
at Pokhara when they visit Ghandruk. The students must carry a small rucksack/backpack to
carry materials they require at Ghandruk.
2. Students must at all times be in a group and should listen carefully and follow instructions
given by Head teacher. Students should not wander away alone.

3. Students will be allocated specific buses and also hotel rooms will be allocated before the
trip begins. Students are required to be in the bus/room allocated to them and not interchange.

4. They should take utmost care not to litter in the bus or the surroundings. All garbage or
litter must be disposed off in a plastic bag provided for that purpose.
5. Students will be travelling by AC buses and should not lean out of bus at any time. They
should take care of all their belongings themselves.
6. While in the bus, students must occupy seats allotted to them and not move around. This
disturbs the driver and may cause accidents.
7. At the hotel, students must take care not to cause any breakage. Any damage so caused
will be charged to the student/s responsible. Students are not allowed to be outside their hotel
rooms after 9.30 pm and should not make noise or cause any untoward disturbance.
8. The students are expected to use the excursion for observation, exploration and also to share
their learning outcomes through travelogues, travel diaries, blogs or vlogs.
