OBJECTIVES/MAIN IDEAS: - To teach cc em u Nhi that God will be pleased if we always thank and wordship God for all of His gifts given to us. TEACHING METHOD & TECHNIQUES: pick the ones that can be used for your lecture
Use a song or poem, tell a riddle or joke, hide something in your pocket, read a story, show a picture or a poster, put on a costume, hat, ask a question: why?how?what?whom?who?which?, act out something or a play, change your voice, make it low, high, gruff, or silly, use a puppet or stuffed animal, ask children to bring things from home that relate to the lesson, put something in a bag or sock and let the children feel it, teach children a new word-a-magic word, encourage children to use their imagination, use guided visual imagery, take children on a plan, ship, or magic carpet and fly to a distant place, invite a guest speaker, bring in food that relates to the lesson, use a map or globe, bring in a current newspaper article, show a film/video, film strips, or tape, lecture with and without discussion, panel of experts, brainstorming, large/small group discussion, role playing, index card, worksheets, surveys.. Use non-verbal communication ways: eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, posture and body orientation, proximity, paralinguistics, humor RULES: u Nhi cant talk or interrupt during the lecture, if he/she needs to go to the restroom, he/she has to raise hand for permission.. The HT teaches the lecture cant leave the group at any times. Prior to the lecture, he/she needs to make arrangements with another HT/DT or NS to sit in when he/she teaches. This HT/DT or NS will take care of misbehaved Au Nhi and/or restroom as well as emergency needs. Depends on the lessons, HT will have to make up rules for certain parts of the lecture HT will learn more on rules at c p 2 u Nhi camp. CONSEQUENCES: - 1st time warning, 2nd time time out, 3rd let DT/DPNH know, 4th call parents - HT will learn more how to create consequences at c p 2 u Nhi camp. REWARDS: - reward Au Nhi with positive praises, good notes send home, stickers, have lunch or dinner with HT and the parents. Depends upon the lessons, HT will create incentives that will motivate cac em Au Nhi participates in the lessons and lectures - HT will learn more how to reward children at c p 2 u Nhi camp. INTRODUCTION: - Show pictures of Noah and the animals when they were leaving the ark - Ask children to tell HT what are in the pictures and predict what is going on

THROUGH (LESSON CONTENT): use different teaching method & techniques above to teach a) Em L ng Nghe L i Cha (Listening to the Word of God)
- Noah knew it was safe to leave the ark (show pictures of the animals when they were happy running/moving around) - He built an altar and thanked God for saving him and his family (show pictures of Noah and his family praised God) - God was pleased that Noah had obeyed Him. God told Noah the rainbow was a promise that He would not destroy the earth with another flood (show pictures of a colorful rainbow) b) Cha Mu n Ni G V i Em (What is Gods Message for Me?) -God will be pleased if you always thank and worship God for all of His gifts given to you. (give examples how at home if cac em behave well/ ngoan ngon, vng l i, helpful, and at school if cac em are good students, receive good grades, then the parents and the teachers will be happy and pleased, and of course, they will give good incentives and presents for good children/studious students) c) Em S ng L i Cha (Applying Gods Words to My Life) -Pray with your family every night to thanks God for given your family a peaceful day(Teach kids a short statement one sentence how to thank and praise God and ask them to read at home at kinh dang ngay & kinh dang dem time. Give cac em small index cards with that statement and read together before ending the lecture. Tell cac em to take the index cards home and ask their parents to stick the index card with the praying statement in the kids room ). Remind kids to bring back the index card with the parents signature verified that their kid read this statement at home. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

BEYOND:
1. Review Main Ideas: - Confirm again with cc em u Nhi that God will be pleased if we always thank and wordship God for all of His gifts given to us. Au Nhi is also required to practice and keep the kh u hi u of u Nhi Ngoan at home, in school, at church and have to practice say thank you to all adults, parents, teachers, and friends. 2. Group/Individual Assessment: - ask cac em to circle the correct answers for the 3 given/written multiple choice questions (these questions are prepared in advance in written form if HT wants to test cac em individually or HT can ask as a group verbally and allow cac em to answer orally by randomly pull sticks which are placed in a cup or a bag.. and these calling sticks should already had names of kids ..this is to test all kids whether they understand the lecture or not.. if kids dont know the answers, just pull another stick and call another kid for review until at least of the group are asked the others who were not called, still have an opportunity to review. Dont make kids feel embarrassed.if kids dont know the answers, but this is a good time to give incentives to kids who know the answers. 1. ng Noe l p bn th lm g? 3. Homework: - u Nhi needs to read the praying statement at c Kinh Sng and c Kinh T i time - u Nhi will have to memory the praying statement and recite to HT the next Sunday 4 . Evaluation: - ask kids to rate your lecture from 1-3 in written form (give kids a small sheet of paper) - 1: need to improve 2: good 3: excellent 5. Reteach (if needed): - if more than of kids cant understand or dont know your objectives and the main ideas of this lecture, then you have to reteach next Sunday!
