1. Do you go straight through or do you stop often?

I stop and take my time to write a quick summary for each paragraph because
sometimes a lot of information can drain your brain and can make it difficult to keep
going and get lazy
2. Do you take Notes
I am a firm believer in writing key details that are important throughout the context
it keeps me engaged and focused and helps me remember for future reference
3. Do you take breaks while reading to attend something else?
I do because I’m a burden with a lot of information but if passage is running
smoothly then yes, I will read it straight through
4. What do you do if you don’t understand a passage?
I would compare my notes with a collogue or ask my tutor about a certain section that
was in the moment out of context for me and lastly, I would email my professor about
that particular section
5. How long can you read a stretch and maintain full concentration?
When I don’t have distractions, I do maintain concentration but I need to be in an
area where it is quite and calm and no distractions so I can process what I’m reading
6. What differences do you notice in the way you read each text?
When I’m reading an article and I stop to a point where I don’t understand
something it can be a word in the topic or just the topic in general then it changes the
perspective of the context as a whole
7. What conclusions can you draw about how to be more efficient reader both on and off
screen?
I read the material more than once to have a better understanding on the subject and
putting myself in the authors shoes keeps me engaged
