Individualized Professional Development Plan

Name: Major:
Payton Albregts Middle/Secondary Concentration: English

Start with your WHY: Why are you pursuing this degree? What do you want the outcome to be? How are you
going to work toward making that outcome possible? **Is the outcome directly related to your WHY?
WHY:_I want to pursue education and create a space for students to have engaging learning and a space of

welcoming. My teachers growing up always made me feel seen, heard, and loved by them and so I want to do that

with my students because I know how it affected my education in a positive way. Without them, I would not be

here at Butler, so I believe that teachers can change the course of a child’s life.

______________________________________________________________________________________

_What:_I want students to leave my classroom knowing that they will have a teacher who will always support

them and that they were engaged in the material. I want the future of our world to know that our education

system is there to support them and that they will take all of what they have learned to change the world.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

How: I will work to find lessons that are engaging and work personally on inclusivity and equity for all my

students. It is connected to my why because I want my students to find it. Place of belonging in my classroom.
